Needed to install wiring for my utility trailer lights. The components in the kit are well made and connectors fit perfectly. Installation was accurately explained in the videos so no surprises. The hardest part was running the 12V wire to the battery in the front of the vehicle.
Nice kit to add a tail light connection to your Toyota Rav4 for towing. The kit installed pretty easy being our Rav4 has the battery in the rear right side compartment making things much easier.I am happy with the end result and would recommend. You do need a little knowledge and a few tools for this task.

Had to move my original driver side stick-on control module mounting location - it made the wiring to the passenger side TOO SHORT. Easy mod to get more length for passenger side brake line connections - tie wrapped the driver side control module to frame and wiring harness. Recommend confirming adequate length to reach passenger side brake line connections before securing driver side control module.
Added new cable to connect to the battery to make ground connction and that caused me to use more butt connectors than what was in kit. Minor issue - if you have that type of thing available.
Panel removal and reinstall took most of the time.
This was a great purchase. I have a auto tech background which helped with installation. However, the hitch and wiring harness fit my 2024 Rav4 perfectly. The instructions were very good and helpful. Side panel removal was a learning process but they are easily removed. Have a short 2x4 gold the panels when working on the harness. If the frame threads for the hitch have burs you will need a 12mm spark plug thread to clean them. The right rear battery location made hook-up much easier vs running the electrical to the front. All electral line clips matched perfectly.

Hitch and lighting kit installed fine, but the videos didn’t mention differences in the 2019 RAV 4 Hybrid from the non-hybrid. I wanted to let you know about those.
HITCH
Not sure if this is solely a hybrid issue, but there was what was either a shipping tie-down or tow point bracket that required permanent removal, as it was right in the way of the hitch cross member. It’s quite heavy duty. Comes off easily, requires removal of two bolts. Passengers side, mounted on the bottom of the frame rail. I have included a photo, but not while it was on the car, I was focused on the install. I managed the install by myself, no lift, required jacking up at the rear jack point on one side to be able to slip the hitch up behind the chrome exhaust tips, as the distance between them is less than the width of the hitch. Also, appears the foot activated rear hatch auto lift will not work with the hitch, which is what Toyota said, but not what e-trailer said when I sent in the question prior to purchase. It would not have made a difference in my decision to buy. See attached photo
WIRING KIT
Very pleasant surprise, the battery on the hybrid is in the rear, passengers side below the passenger side panel. Running the power cable is a breeze. The battery is accessed by two removable panels, but just as in the video, I felt more comfortable nearly removing the large side panel to access the light connector. Also, I have the premium stereo, which as a woofer in the drivers rear panel. This does not cause any problems, but is worth mentioning to potential installers so they don’t get worried.

Well, I have hUled a trailer a few times, use the receiver for a hitch mount bike rack frequently. Light co be toe kit and instructions were excellent!
Great quality and sound design. Package arrived looking like it had been air-dropped, but the hitch only had a few scuffs on the paint, and the harness package was unharmed. I watched the [online] video a few times and read and reread the printed instructions. All were very helpful.

Hitch is doing great! I do not actually pull a trailer, but have a cargo carrier that plugs into the trailer hitch in which I transport my 15 scale railroad flat car.
Customer service excellent, easy polite and good knowlege
Would have been better for hybrid if the control box connects on the passenger side (ground and power much closer). Crimp connectors were solid but kind of large - need good size pliers to crimp. They work but a more premium connector (or preconnected wire for power) would have been nice. Took about 2 hours for thorough install (mostly panel removal). The install videos are on lower trims with less stuff. JBL subwoofer takes up a huge amount of space in the back driver side. To ground, I found an existing brace bold and attached there, (confirmed with multimeter) did not was to drill a new hole. Requires significant panel removal. I opted to install some sound deadening material while I had it apart. Overall easy enough. Haven't tested yet with trailer but verified with multimeter Ground to DRL, blinkers, and brakes show 14v from battery when car lights are functioning.
Prefer leaving wiring in trunk as do not plan to tow frequently. Installed hitch mostly for accessories. Overall easy connection for what it is.

Easy Peasy. Took me about 30 mins to install hitch on the new Rave Hybrid. Didn't even jack up the vehicle. Car was shiney new so exhaust hangers slid right off. Supported muffler w a stack of 2X4s. Removed access stickers and slid the hitch in place. Shimmed it up with more scrap 2x4 pieces. I have limited tools here at the winter house in Myrtle Beach, but 19mm box end got er done! Slid exhaust hangers back on, good to go. Wiring harness will have to wait a few weeks. Very happy, will use next week to drive to Dallas with Bike carrier on the back.

This product does the job. Instructions were clear. Installation video made it look easy. Because of the "tight quarters" behind the 2023 Rav-4 hybrid interior panels, it was not easy. In one video, for instance, the interior panels had been removed entirely, making "reaching in" look easy. (To perform tasks of disconnecting T connectors (at 77 my hand strength suffers) and securing the black box and ground wire.) Also, I spoiled 3 ring terminals, DAH, before watching a "how to" video. This is my 3rd installation over many years. I am happy with this product and it worked on first try.
About as plug n play as it gets, hardest part is the under-vehicle bit.Have had only good results with e-trailer...
This does not fit the 2019 RAV4 Hybrid for plug in installation. I got it so that I didn't have to splice the wires but ended up needing to splice them anyways.

I checked with Tekonsha just to be sure, and they have indeed confirmed that this is the correct wiring harness for your 2019 Toyota RAV4. After taking a look at your photo, it appears you might be looking in the wrong spot for the connectors. The photo you provided shows a photo of a connector outside the vehicle, behind the taillight assembly. The correct connectors are actually located behind the interior panels on both sides of the cargo area as shown in the installation instructions linked above.

Easy fit following youtube video. Hybrid vehicle so the battery is in the back, made connecting power wire easy. Total time about 2 hours
