Question:

I'm looking at adding a hitch as part of a towing setup for my 2025 RAV4. Looking at the Curt and etrailer hitches here. Is there a difference between them? Is one better than the other? Thanks.

Hello Daniel,

The Curt # C13416 and etrailer # e23ZR appear to be so similar since they share the same design. The main difference between them is the etrailer hitch has a unique matte black powder coat finish. This gives it more of an OEM look and also helps hide dirt and scratches. If the finish isn't important to you the best option would be whichever has the lowest price.

Since you plan on towing you will also need wiring. The T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118801 is the most reliable option. This will plug into the connection points in your rear cargo area and give you a 4-way to power your trailer's signal lights. For a ball mount, check out the etrailer Ball Mount # e67DR.
