Will The Curt Hitch C77MJ Fit A 2025 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid?

Question:

I have a 2025 Rav4 hybrid non-plug. I reviewed your video on installing Curt C77MJ hitch on Rav4, but the video wasnt specific. May I assume that the Curt C77MJ will also fit as well to the hybrid? Also, what is the part for the correct 4-pin wiring harness for Rav4?

Hi Eric!

The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" # C77MJ will definitely fit your 2025 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid. I included a picture of it on a 2025 RAV4 Hybrid to 100% cement that absolutely certain fact. : )

For the wiring, I recommend going with the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 118801. This is a plug and play harness, so it's nice and easy to install. I have also found Tekonsha to make the most reliable wiring harnesses, so it's the one to go with.

What are you planning on towing with your RAV4?

Planning on primarily towing a light boat and trailer; entire package is < 1000#. Main motivating reason for even getting the Rav4 is to have something that will carry the crew (and dog), with good mpg rating to vacation house. And once there, have some clearance and tow ability to take boat the short distance to river and launch it.

@EricM Nice! I think the RAV4 was a perfect choice! You didn't even mention Toyota's reliability, which is the best in the car industry. Kicking myself for not spending a little more to get a Tundra when I got a new car. Oh well. Have fun out on the lake and let me know if there is anything else I can help with!
