Replace the damaged 7-way, RV-style trailer connector on your vehicle with this T-One harness. ModuLite reduces strain on wiring system. Brake controller adapter plugs in beneath your dash and lets you easily plug in your electric brake controller.

This custom-fit T-One connector plugs into your vehicle's wiring harness, which is located behind the driver's-side and passenger's-side tail lights. You will have to remove the tail light assemblies and some interior paneling to access this harness. Once you've plugged in the T-connector, run the body harness up to your car battery and connect the wires per the included instructions.
Once installation is complete, the 7-way connector will be stowed beneath your vehicle, near the trailer hitch. A mounting bracket (sold separately) is recommended to keep the connector secure.
It is recommended that you use a small amount of grease on all electrical connections - the plugs on your automobile and the 7-pole connector itself - to help prevent corrosion.
A ModuLite power module is built into this T-One connector. Because most trailers run on a 2-wire system - wherein the brake and turn signals are carried on one wire - the separate brake and turn signals from your vehicle's 3-wire system need to be combined so they are compatible with the wiring system of your trailer. This power module functions as a tail light converter to combine the brake and turn signal functions of your automobile so that they run on one wire to properly activate your trailer's tail lights. Note: This will not affect how the tail lights on your vehicle operate.
With a ModuLite, your trailer's lights will be powered without overloading your vehicle's electrical system. Because the module draws power directly from your car's battery and bypasses the electrical routes that are used by a basic wiring harness, there is virtually no draw on your tail light circuits.
This adapter plugs into the 4-pin connector on your vehicle's built-in brake control wiring harness. The harness is located underneath the dash, to the left of the steering column, taped to another harness near the emergency brake pedal.
This adapter requires no hardwiring. It is designed to plug directly into your electric brake controller for the simplest installation possible. Because there are no wires to connect, installation is not permanent. You can unplug and remove your brake controller at any time and securely stow it away.

I purchased this well over a year ago along with the hitch for my Chrysler Town and Country mini van. Both arrived sooner than expected in perfect condition.
The installation was done by myself without help so I really appreciated how easily this kit fit with my taillights. The only connections needed were to unplug the rear lights, plug in the harness, and add a ground screw to the body. The control cable to the front was easily long enough, and the instructions for wiring to the battery were easy to figure out. I'm sorry I can't say how well the brake system works as I ended up not needing trailer brakes and haven't used it. However the the circuit for the trailer tail lights still work perffectly.
I have not installed the brake controller yet so we are still still just using the light portion of the wiring. Still looks and works great! We may purchase a pop-up camper this winter/spring and if we do I hope that it has electric brakes. If it does then we will be able to offer a full review as we will need to install the brake controller. Thank you!
I had done a lot of research on the best trailer brake to purchase. This one kept coming up for ease of installation and use.
After 1 year I am extremely happy with my purchase. In the year since purchasing this item I had to get a new tow vehicle. Best part was I didn't have to purchase another trailer brake! All I had to do was plug it in and I was good to go.

The harness size and connectors were easy to use. There is no video for this specific harness, but look up the 4-pin connector version. The install is nearly identical. Took about 3 days to receive.
Use lift jacks. You're not under the van very long, but you do have to run and zip-tie a cable the full length of the van.
I took off a star because the screws were missing and the ring connectors are the wrong size. These are common at any hardware store, but when you say they're already in the box, then it should be in the box.
Everything is ready to install right out of the box! It came in 3 days time, so waiting for the weekend to install the new wiring harness. The instructions are easy to understand. The only extra item I had to order was a mounting bracket for the connector. We have ordered bike racks and trailer hitches in the past. They too came within 3 days of the order date. Number 1 on our list for parts like these!
All ordered parts arrived in good condition, and were correct. Impressed with on time delivery. Hitch and wiring harness were a perfect fit. Only had trouble finding correct wire from brake light switch on 2016 Dodge Caravan .

Ordered this for a 2014 Dodge Grand Caravan to tow our 2018 Coachmen Clipper 17 foot camper. It was actually a very easy install and took about an hour or so to complete. Everything worked as expected with no issue whatsoever afterward.

I have used this to haul loads from Califonia to Utah and back. I smashed it leaving a steep driveway on the Oregon coast and all i had to do was bend it back into position and it works fine no damage to the plug.
