Question:
I have this harness installed and am going to use the Curt Echo Mobile controller. Question is, do i need to hook the blue wire up to anything or can it just be left disconnected under the hood?

Helpful Expert Reply:
The blue wire on the Tekonsha OEM Vehicle Wiring Harness # 22121 is for electric brake output to the 7-Way connector and since the Curt Echo # C51180 does not need this pin to be active on a 7-Way it can indeed just be tied off.
The Curt Echo only needs the 12V power circuit (along with the basic trailer light signals) to be active on the 7-Way which as you are finding out allows for a much easier install process. I have attached a couple videos that you can take a look at as well.
