    • Retains functionality of factory-installed 7-way, RV-style connector (if present)
  • Connects quickly and easily - no cutting or splicing of wires
    • Locate connection points behind rear bumper
    • Plug in T-connector
  • Constructed of 16-gauge bonded wire
  • Comes with dust cap for 4-way flat connector

Specs:

  • Maximum amperage: 7.5 amps per circuit
  • 1-Year limited warranty

Installation

This custom-fit T-One connector plugs into your vehicle's wiring harness, which is located behind the rear bumper. If you have a factory-installed 7-way, blade-style connector, the T-One will plug in between the 7-way and the OEM socket.

Once installation is complete, the 4-way flat connector will be stowed beneath your vehicle, near the trailer hitch. A mounting bracket (sold separately) is recommended to keep the connector secure.

It is recommended that you use a small amount of grease on all electrical connections - the plugs on your automobile and the 4-pole connector itself - to help prevent corrosion.

The hitch is very good, fit like a glove, BUT, the electrical connecter doesn't fit anything. The fine print on the directions says for a factory wired vehicle to add on a 4 pin connecter. My 09 Jeep Liberty was not factory wired so I'm out the money I paid for it. Thanks.

2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee

Very easy to install by yourself. Only took about 10 minutes. The wiring harness plugs right in as well. Only downside is that the trailer lights do not work. I have to go to a dealer and get the circuit activated. This has been stated and is no fault to etrailer. Excellent products. Fast shipping.

2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee

Purchased this hitch for my new 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo online after being quoted a $700 installation price at my local Chrysler Dealership. After doing some online searching and reading multiple reviews I decided to give these folks a try. My husband and I watched a very detailed video explaining 3 different hitch options for my Jeep and quickly decided for the price it was worth giving it a try. From opening box to install was less than 20 minutes that included connecting trailer light kit that I purchased extra $$.$$. You can barely see it under my JEEP. I'm very pleased and can't hardly wait to use it. Thanks again etrailer.com you helped me prove my to my husband that it would work and saved me $600!

I'm a knucklehead. Got the wrong part for my Jeep. Nicole was ridiculous awesome!!! How is it possible that a girl knows what hitch wiring part I need when I ordered the wrong one. I asked her that question and she was embarrassed! This girl needs a big raise. When I got off the phone I said to my wife that is the best customer service ever!! Carvana , who I just bought the car from was horrible and needs to learn a thing or two from etrailer. This is not my first purchase from etrailer which is why I returned. Just did this install on a 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee everything is just like the video. But the only thing that worked was tail lights. No turn or brake lights. I could not find any fuse or relays bad or missing. Did I miss something?

Part # 118384 is designed for Grand Cherokees with a factory tow package. Without the factory tow package, not all functions will work. In order to make it function, youll need to head to your dealer and have them re-flash either the Body Control Module BCM or Power Control Module PCM to fully activate that port. The other option is to use a harness designed for Grand Cherokees that dont have factory tow packages like part # 118425.

2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee

I recently purchased a new 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee. However, the vehicle was not equipped with with a trailer hitch but came pre-wired for trailering. I asked if the dealership could install a hitch/wiring and was informed that they subcontract the work to a local trailer rental company. I went to the company and was told it would cost approximately $400 and I would have to leave my vehicle with them for four hours, which would have been very inconvenient because I live 50 miles away. As a result, I researched alternatives online to see if I could install the hitch and wiring myself. etrailer.com had the best customer reviews and help videos, so I placed an order for the hitch and wiring harness. My wife and I installed them yesterday, which took about an hour. I saved $270 from what the trailer company was going to charge me. Very happy with the purchase.

On my 2012 GMC Sierra, this was the best way to retain the 7 pole factory connection and also have a 4 pole connection. This product lets me have both 4 and 7 pole connections available at the truck, all the time, without adaptors to carry around. Most of the light trailers I pull have the 4 pole connection. I don't use the factory 7 pole very often. Installation is about 2 minutes. Check out the video on this product, it's very helpful.

unable to locate factory wiring to connect this harness to. sent a search party who said it was located inside of a frame member. still searching...there are NO wires showing under the vehicle and i have not started to pull apart the interior in a search as the weather is uncooperative. i do like the fact that the 4 wire in enclosed in a loom for protection. my last vehicle did not have that feature. it is thoughtful.
