Wiring a trailer usually means splicing into the vehicle’s tail light circuit, but this Curt Powered Tail Light Converter with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector makes it simple. It’s a plug-in design with a powered converter built in, so you can connect your trailer lights without tapping directly into the vehicle wiring. That keeps the electrical system protected while giving you a clean 4-flat output ready to tow.
The powered converter takes its own power from the vehicle and sends the right signal strength to the trailer lights. That means reliable operation for running, brake, and turn signals without overloading the factory wiring. It’s ideal for setups that need consistent, correct power at the connector every time you hook up.
Once installed, you get a standard 4-pole flat trailer connector that handles stop, turn, and tail light functions. The plug and lead design keeps everything tidy and easy to reach when connecting your trailer. You can hook up in seconds with no extra adapters or tools.
No factory towing prep? No problem. This powered converter kit is made to provide everything needed on vehicles without a tow package. It gives you a dependable way to add full trailer lighting capability without any guesswork or custom wiring work.

If your left turn signal stopped working after installing the trailer wiring harness, I’d start by checking the ground connection to make sure it’s clean, secure, and attached to bare metal. Then check the wiring connections and make sure everything is fully seated. It’s also worth checking the vehicle and trailer fuses, along with the left turn signal wire, for any loose connections or damage. If you have a circuit tester, test the wiring harness output to help narrow down whether the issue is with the vehicle wiring or the trailer.
