Hey everybody. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com, and we're taking a quick look at the GSI Outdoors Glacier Bowl with handle. This is a pretty handy thing to have on any kind of camping trip. It's going to kind of combine a lot of things into one durable stainless steel bowl. So you can kind of use this as a plate since it's just wide enough and shallow enough that you can eat off of it just like you would any other. But it's still going to allow you to eat anything like soup or stew and stuff like that.
Also by having that single handle welded onto the side, it makes it really easy to grab onto, have a little just easy spot to hold, especially if whatever you're eating is pretty hot. You can also maybe use this to kind of heat up whatever you're eating. Maybe it got cold or set off to the side, so you could reheat it over the fire. Not that I would say that you could use this on a stove really. It's kinda too thin for that, but I think it definitely can take some heat since it is stainless steel.
So it should be useful in all those respects. Of course you don't wanna put it in a microwave or anything like that, but this is for camping, not for really at home use. I mean, nothing stopping you from that either, but all in all, I think it does combine a lot of things into one. It's kind of just that perfect in between size. Not be too big, not to be too small, and should be really valuable in that respect.
So let's take a little closer look and I'll give you some measurements to give you a better idea of how big this is. So again, you can see it does have a little bit of a raised edge in the center. I guess just to kind of make sure that it doesn't wobble around. Kind of give it a little bit more of a flat, stable base. And then that handle is just tack welded on the side.
So it should stay on there forever as long as you don't use it as a hammer. It's about nine inches across with that handle. The bowl itself, about seven and a half inches in diameter. And then it's about two inches tall, or two inches deep. Weighs about five ounces. Again, made out of sturdy stainless steel so you don't have to worry about any kind of rust, corrosion. And it is also food safe, so should be a great addition to your pack. This is also gonna be nice as compared to some plastic options as well that can warp and hold on to smells or food, or just be kind of dingy after a while especially after years of use. So you shouldn't have any worries with that with this one. That's pretty much all there is to it for our quick look at this stainless steel bowl. I hope that this has been helpful in deciding if this is the right choice for you. We do have a lot of other gear here etrailer.com for your camping outdoor adventures and RVing adventures, so be sure to check it out and thanks for watching..
