The Shaper 100 cargo basket is a lightweight option for transporting gear on your roof. It maximizes your cargo-carrying capacity, and it keeps damp or dirty gear out of your vehicle's interior. The aerodynamic shape helps to reduce drag and wind noise, and the low-profile design and flat cargo area make it easy to load gear. The basket mounts to square bars with included hardware. And it's constructed of aluminum with a silver powder coat finish so it won't rust if you leave it on your roof.
The Shaper 100 front panel works like a fairing to direct air up and over the basket. This reduces drag and wind noise as you drive. And the basket sits flush with the top of your crossbars to create a low profile.
The basket has tapered side walls that allow you to easily load your gear. The floor is made of flat panels that make it easy to shift and properly position cargo.
You can secure your gear to the basket with straps, rope, or a cargo net (sold separately). If using a cargo net, attach the net hooks to the bottoms of the side walls or the front and rear panels. Straps or ropes should be routed under the basket and around your cargo to secure it in place.
The basket installs easily on square crossbars with brackets and hand knobs. Simply set the brackets over your bars, swing the T-bolts into place under the bars, and tighten the hand knobs to secure the basket in place.
Rubber pads are included to cushion the bottom of the basket where it rests on your crossbars. This will protect the crossbars from scratches and help to reduce road noise.

The rack was fairly easy to put together. Just use hand tools and take your time. The instructions said to lay out the floor slats inside the frame before installing, make sure you do that because do to the shape you cannot put them in after the frame is put together (I learned the hard way). Also this basket was for my Tesla Model 3 and the T-Slot bolts are too short to work without bending down the brackets. I have a support ticket with Inno to see if they have longer T-Slot bolts ( guessing they need to be around 1 3/8” to 1 1/2” long. The ones it comes with are only 3/4” which is fine if you have a flat T-slot equipped roof rack but the Tesla roof rack is curved so the attachment bolts need to be longer. Also I had to use the included plastic spacer and one I made from some left over laminate floor to wall spacers and 7 stainless steel washers to fill the gap the curved rack makes between it and the basket. See pictures. It does work and does not look too bad.
Went together really easily. Instructions were clear and simple
Well designed , low profile and light .Had to make a very minor adjustment to the rear T-slot hardware part to make it fit on my Prius standard roof bars . Other than that …. Very happy !!!
Very pleased with the product and support provided by the etrailer team. The installation to the existing racks was quite easy. George from etrailer provided me with the contact of the manufacturers (Californian-based) which was great for a successful assembly. Recommended product and thumbs up to the etrailer team.
Light, strong, easy to put together and install.
Only complaint is self tapping screws holding the 4 flat panels in place do not sit flush and hold tight. Instructions warn not to over tighten as I am sure this has been a problem others had.
Panels tend to rattle with no load on them.
Very disappointed in this rack. Bought an inno rack thinking it would be higher quality than a Chinese rack off [other retialer], but wish I saved the $XX and just went with something else. The screws for the slats fit into a slot on the bottom of the slats. The frame isn't threaded which leaves the screws crooked and mildly stripped because you're creating your own threads in the aluminum frame. The slot also isn't threaded, leaving the slats to rattle around. There is also no channel on top of the slats for t-bolts, and the instructions say not to put a hook on the frame which significantly reduces usable area if you need to secure to the slats. I'd rather have bought a $XXX rack, gone to Home Depot for some upgraded hardware, and replaced every year or two rather than spend the $XXX on this rack. ETrailer return policy is unused/uninstalled, which really only leaves you the opportunity to return if you've simply had a change of heart rather than disappointed in a poor product. Would strongly recommend to purchase something else off [other retailer].
Put this on my wife’s 18 Cherokee trail hawk. Needed a bit more room for luggage. There has been a bit more wind noise with this rack. It is pretty light which makes it easy to remove. It has a decent payload and my wife likes the look. Happy wife, happy life...
Great product so far expedited shipping overall very well please product looks sturdy and well built
Low profile-Sturdy
