Ellen: Hey everyone, I'm Ellen 00:00:02 here at etrailer.com and we're going to be taking a look at the GSI Outdoors Glacier Multipurpose Cup.The thing that I think is really cool about this is that you can use it as a cup, a bowl, or also a cooking pot. It's made of stainless steel and has these handles that can come out and act as a cooking pot so you can use it for all kinds of different things. Great for any solo trips, if you just need a cup for water, or maybe you want to have a heated up cup of soup or a can of soup or something like that, this makes it a great addition to your camping pack without taking up too much space. Something that I think that's also smart about this design is that it fits over the standard size a one liter water bottle. So you can put this over the top of that and save some space in that respect, just have that over the top.GSI does have a one liter water bottle, and you could find that here at etrailer.com it is a related part on the product page. So that's something that you can get to go with this, but it is a standardized size.So if I take a closer look at it, you can see that nice stainless steel design.
So pretty simple, safe to go over a flame or a cooktop without really any issues. We can move the handles out. You see they're kind of offset, so they mesh together and provide that easy, quick handles so you can place this over the fire. Of course, whenever you grab this off of a heat source, you want to be careful because those tongs will probably be hot.As far as the capacity and size of this, it holds about 18 fluid ounces and it weighs just 5.1 ounce. So just over five ounces or about a quarter pound, little over quarter pound.Actual dimensions, it's about four inches in diameter and then about three and a half inches tall. The handles whenever they're fully extended, come away from our cup by about three and three quarter inches.
So all in all pretty compact, pretty easy to use, it is covered by a limited lifetime warranty and should make a great addition to your pack. That's pretty much all there is to it for our look at the GSI Outdoors Multipurpose Cup. I hope this video has been helpful in deciding if this is the right piece for you. We do have a lot of other accessories here at etrailer.com so check them out. Thanks for watching.
