Vary good product, vary fast service and delivery
Thanks

by:

Is exactly as described, a good fit for what we needed

by:

Product is practical , priced very reasonably, I will enjoy it

by:

Your service is great! And the product is just as expected. But it just arrived yesterday, so a more thud ugh review will have to wait.
Thank you.

by:

I carry everything in this cage.

by:

got it in less than a week. Put it together. Seems pretty sturdy? To bad you have to buy the pin for it? That should be included in price. Cant wait to put it on our motor home for a 2 month road trip in Febuary 2019. Will let you know then how it went. Would recommend to everyone.

by:

Warning: might not leave enough room to open your trunk. At least, if you drive a Ford Fusion. Simple setup though, easy to install, hasn't given me any problems.

by:

This item was perfect for our needs. We've taken it on vacation and to move our child to college. The "cage" is perfectly secure for those long trips. Best auto accessory purchase we have made in years!!

The Carpod hitch cargo carrier is still the best thing I could have bought for those things I need to carry. I really like it and very happy with the way it works.

by:

This hitch was easy to install on a 2016 Honda Pilot.

by:

Excellent I love it

by:

I purchased this a year ago to use while attending festivals. It works great. It has a tendency to shift side to side because the support is in the center, and it makes me nervous to watch out my rear window, but it has always been solid. A bit heavy, so if you aren't in fairly good shape, you might need a second person to help guide it in or remove it.

by:

packing box arrived damaged. content slightly damaged, contacted etrailers and no joke, received reply within minutes. settled for a reduced price, (my choice] great product and exceptional customer service. would recommend this provider and product anytime!

by:

It's just ok. Product came somewhat scraped and appeared rusted ; no pin to secure hitch included. Had to purchase separately (which I think it should be included) .

Still not really impressed. Its not as sturdy as youd think, no matter how tight its put together. It still wobbles from side to side.

This basket has been wonderful. There isn’t much cargo space in my suv with the third row up, so this is what I use to haul more stuff. I can fit 2 of the big black storage containers from Costco and a few other things in it. I also put my double bike trailer/stroller in it. I’m of average strength and can hook it up myself.

by:

This cargo carrier was easy to assemble and attached to our hitch as described. I wish the manufacturer would have a solution to store the pins as part of the overall design because if you misplace or loose a pin, it would not be pleasant to find another solution on the road! Overall we recommend this item for anyone looking for a reliable, useful cargo carrier.

by:

My Carpod Cargo Carrier arrived just in time for my vacation. It was easy to set up and attach to my trailer hitch. I love this for the extra space it provides for hauling beach chairs, umbrellas and my cooler. I would definitely use Etrailer for any future accessories for my vehicle.

by:

Product seems sturdy. Very fast and cheap delivery from etrailer! They were also in touch with emails along the way.

Since I purchased this for a Land Rover Dicovery II, it does not have enough clearance to stretch past the spare tire and bumper. So I have to purchase a trailer hitch extension to go with it. Also note that it does not come with a pin to secure it to the trailer hitch; you have to purchase that separately.

by:

Bought this to replace my cross bars on roof. Definitely less wind noise and drag on SUV than cargo on roof. Easier to load and remove cargo vs roof cargo. I also purchased the security cover for the carpod to lock items in cargo. Issue you need to get long shackle locks to clear and fit locks to secure the cover and carpod carrier, thus only 4 stars.

by:

LOVE this rack. It arrived within a week of ordering, came without any damage, as the packaging was quite good.
Very little assemble, and easy to do with included parts. Really like the fact that the front and/or each side can come down for easy loading.
And the size is perfect for putting on a motorhome and still having access to the ladder.
In addition to this rack being great, the customer service from the people at etrailer.com was exceptional, something not always found now a days.

Still very happy with the rack, it holds panels that are use to set up an enclosed area when we go to dog shows, works as well as the day it arrived!

by:

Great website. Easy to sort info/products. Bought frame/bag. Reasonable price. VERY fast shipping! Frame seems sturdy enough to last. Bag is heavy nylon that seems will last at least a few years with light/medium loads. Put together/Installed in about 20 minutes. So far so good.

by:

The cargo carrier came exactly as billed. It was simple to put together and was perfiect for my first two dump runs.

I have a 2014 DODGE DURANGO RT. DOES THIS TILT OR SWING AWAY IF IT IS FULLY LOADED SO YOU CAN ACCESS THE TRUNK AND THE DOOR CAN OPEN AND CLOSE????

The Carpod does not have a tilt or swing function. To access your cargo area, you will either need to remove the whole carrier or at least the cage from the base.

  • Cargo Carrier with Spare Tire Clearance for 2013 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon
As a first step, you will need to determine what kind of clearance you will need. Measure from the hitch pin hole rearward until you clear the furthest rearward portion of the spare tire. The cargo carrier you choose will need to have a shank that is longer than that dimension. The FAQ article I've linked for you shows how to take that measurement. If your Wrangler has the stock tire size, this distance will be around 6 inches, but if you have larger tires, this distance could be greater....

Hello Dan, thanks for reaching out. Yes, the 23x47 Carpod Walled Cargo Carrier # M2200 is suitable for use on the back of a travel trailer or 5th wheel. As long as your RV bumper or trailer hitch is rated for the kind of weight you want to carry, you will be good to go.

Hey David, we have one license plate bracket with an LED light that may work for you with the Optronics LED Trailer License Plate Light with Mounting Bracket, # LPL55CB. At this time there are no license plate brackets with lights that are specifically designed to work with hitch mounted cargo carriers, but this bracket provides attachment points for a license plate and has a light if you wanted to run trailer wiring to it.

  • How To Move Carpod Cargo Carrier Away From Exhaust Heat on SUV
The exhaust melting cargo on a cargo carrier like the Carpod part # M2200 is not as common as you may think unless the cargo carrier is the exact same height at the exhaust or relatively close to it. We typically recommend at least 12 inches between the exhaust tip and the carrier to prevent melting. If you are experiencing excessive heat from the exhaust the best way to fix this is point the exhaust down with an exhaust tip. I recommend to use an exhaust tip that points away from the...

The outside dimensions are 48-3/4 inches long x 24 inches wide x 22 inches tall, and it fits in a 2 inch receiver opening. • Can the Yakima EXO Swing Away Carrier Be Used On A 2017 Ford F-350 With an In-Bed Camper?
The Yakima EXO Swing Away Storage System w/ Enclosed Cargo Carrier and Cargo Carrier # Y44ZR is not actually meant to be used with any type of hitch extender or adapter so with your truck having a hitch extender, it's not going to be recommended that you use this as is. It depends on what you are trying to do. If it is in relation to the 23x47 Carpod Walled Cargo Carrier # M2200 you were looking at, there is no set guide for what vehicles would need a hitch extender. But, Since the spare tire is on the back, you will most likely require the use of a hitch extender.
