Question:
I have a 2010 E150 van which Im converting into a camper van. Im going to be on the road for 1-2 months and am looking for exterior storage options. Roof racks are an option and I have a 2 hitch on back. Something enclosed and lockable would be optimal. Thanks!

I recommend going with a roof rack and rooftop cargo box for your 2010 Ford Van. This van has rain gutters, so your roof rack installation will be straightforward. Your roof rack will consist of the following:
Round 66" CrossBars for Yakima Roof Rack System (QTY 2), part # Y00410
Yakima 1A Raingutter Towers (QTY 4), part # Y00101
Replacement EndCaps for Yakima Round CrossBars (QTY 4), part # Y8007026
Yakima Same Key System (SKS) Lock Cores (QTY 4), part # Y07204.
This roof rack will have a maximum weight capacity of 165 lbs. Your van will be compatible with all of our rooftop cargo boxes. If you are going to have a vent on the roof of your camper, you might want to go with a narrower rooftop cargo box. The Thule Force XT XL Rooftop Cargo Box - 18 cu ft - Black AeroSkin, part # TH6358B, is only 33-3/4" wide, which leaves you plenty of usable space on the roof of you van.
I have included product description links, a video installation of this rack on a 2014 Ford Van, and a video review of the Thule Force box below.
