No vibration felt with the generator running attached the front hitch. Only concern is the set is low and out of sight when traveling. I attached an orange tag to the top to mark its location for driving and parking.
Excellent product! Should include a lockable pin for the receiver instead of just the pin. Someone could just take the whole thing . lol
Needed a secure means to haul our dual fuel generator for the camper without taking up space in the bed of the truck. This cargo tray is awesome. Easy to install, secured to the back bumper of the trailer with a locking pin and the built in security cage is great. I'd recommend this cargo tray to anyone. We unboxed the product, it's well built,this product is solid, The only issue I found it had a dent on the upper corner of the tray I was a little disappointed but overall it seems great , would I buy from e trailer again yes ,also the tracking was awesome (cosmetic damage that's all it was)
Bought to hold two Honda EU2200i generators on front bumper. You will need to buy another locking mechanism from torklift directly, about $230.00 out the door and shipped to lock both of them. Works great. eTrailer and Torklift gets it done.
I give it four stars for its usefulness and durability, but I think the locking bar system needs to be redesigned. I could pull my generator out from under it. Had to add a second lock to feel it was safe from theft.
I have had the cargo tray mounted to my travel trailer with a generator on it for 14,000 miles and have had no issues.
The Carrier is perfect, we had one previously. It perfectly fits and clears our spare tire. The Firman 4000/3200 Generator fits perfectly. We did add some damping pads under the wheels and the feet of the Generator to prevent vibration. Great security mechanism. Highly recommend this tray and other Torklift Products. Note: we rarely use the gas furnace, the exhaust is right there, heat shield blank to deflect heat if needed.
The item seems nice and fits the generator well. Giving one star because the tray didn't ship with the correct pieces as seen in the picture. The upper support bars are two unique pieces and they sent two of the same piece and zero of the second needed support. Will have to custom make something.
The instructions were hard to understand but I found a video on YouTube and it made it very clear how to put it together. I love this product. I think it's a great product and uh, so I encourage anybody to buy it
I bought this to carry a Westinghouse igen4500 on the rear of my 5th wheel. So far it's been perfect for the job. The quality is very good. The carrier is sturdy and is highly adjustable. I searched for a long time for the smallest carrier that would fit my generator with the greatest weight capacity. The TorkLift, while a bit expensive, fit the needs perfectly. I had extra reinforcements welded from my trailer frame to the hitch point, added an anti-rattle receiver lock and we now have the perfect generator carrier solution. Hope this review can save others time in their search for the same kind of solution.
I recently purchased the 24x27 TorkLift Lock and Load Maximum Security Cargo Tray for my 2" hitch, and I couldn't be happier with my decision! The tray arrived on time and in perfect condition. It's sturdy and has a robust weight capacity of 500 lbs., making it perfect for my hauling needs.
My new Cummings Generator was too large to store in our 5th wheel and too heavy to load and unload in the bed of our truck. With the 500 pound capacity and the 2" hitch, the Tork Lift was the perfect solution. The generator fit perfectly, the heavy duty steel construction is amazing and the installation was simple. I use it for a predator 3500 inverter/generator on the rear of my fifth wheel trailer. Very secure and stable. I made a roof for it and was able to find a canvass cover that is just a little larger than the carrier. I use the generator while it is secured in the carrier.
This generator tack is awesome. It has kept my generator safe and sound.
Product is excellent, packaging was poor. The hardware was not properly secured in the bag provided and missing pieces. Please ensure attention to detail by packers. I now have to go to a hardware store to replace the missing hardware.
The service at trailer is far and above anyone else in this industry. They are consistently helpful when making or researching an item. Prices are mostly comparable to the competition but the reason I buy from them is the service both pre and post sale.
This product is well built. Locks my generator in place without movement. I haven't had a chance to travel with it yet but I'm sure it will meet all my expectations. Little pricey but remember you get what you pay for.no regrets.

The generator is so secure and tamperproof that thieves will look for an easier target.

One year and approximately 1,000 miles and have experienced no problems with the Cargo Carrier. The carrier has attracted several inquires from fellow RVers.
I put this on the back of a travel trailer to carry a 4500w generator. It did the job just fine after I chopped off the main hitch rail and welded on a longer one. It was too short to reach the hitch mounted under the travel trailer bumper. The tie down bars and locking mechanism work great. I felt the price was a bit steep but it was the best/only option I could find for my needs. I don’t regret my purchase, but if I needed another one, I would simply build it myself and save a few hundred bucks. Of course this option doesn’t exist for everyone, including myself. I didn’t have access to as many tools when I needed this product a year ago.
etrailer never disappoints. Shipping was fast and TorkLift is just as I expected. It went together very easily and feels sturdy and safe to care my generator on while traveling about the country.

We traveled over 8,000 miles last year using this carrier to haul a 3500kw generator around the country while RVing and not only did it do its job perfectly, but got a lot of compliments for the security and convenience it provided.
Works great. Only con is its expensive but I really have not seen anything else like it. Like anything else it's not impenetrable but you just need to have something Better that other guy!
I like this cargo tray for use on my travel trailer. I use it for my generator. The only issue I have is when I run the generator, my trailer vibrates like crazy. Is there a way to buffer this by adding some bushings or something?

You mentioned that when running the generator, it causes the trailer to vibrate. I recommend using anti vibration pads under each corner of the generator or you can use a large mat that goes under the whole generator. I recommend one made of neoprene rubber or cork.
Product came with a missing weld nut on the vertical bar and I had to use my own 3/8" bolt and lock nut to assemble. The weld nut on the 2nd vertical bar was full of powder coating and needed to be re-tapped. Would recommend purchasing a locking hitch pin as they include a non-locking hitch pin. If I was not mechanically inclined with my own set of tap tools, hardware and hand tools, this product would not be able to be assembled. Not sure I trust this cargo tray yet though I inspected the welds and they seem to be adequate.
