Question:
Hello. Question/advice on the Malone MicroSport kayak trailer is requested. I have a 19 Perception Eclipse kayak that I wish to haul on this trailer. The kayak will sit on the centerline of the tongue and in the racks. Question: Is there an additional upright support that bolts to the trailer tongue to provide front support and tie-down for this long kayak. I am handy at modifications if necessary. Thanks.

The Malone MicroSport Trailer like the # MPG461G2 can handle a 20' kayak so your 19' Perception Eclipse shouldn't be an issue. It does not come with an additional tie-down or support since it is not necessary. However, if you would like to add one you could use the # EM53909. For an upright you could try to use a bolt on keel roller assembly but it would have to be tall enough to make contact with your kayak. Based on the height of the crossbars alone nothing we carry is long enough. If you plan to try to add one, you would need to measure once you put the kayak on the trailer to find the correct height.
