Roadmaster Falcon 2 Tow Bar - RV Mount - 2" Hitch - 6,000 lbs
Excellent product. Towing 4 door Jeep Wrangler Sport.
I have towed our Honda Accord Sport over 7000 miles now with this tow bar and have been very happy with it. I didn't spend the extra $'s to upgrade to a non-binding bar and while I have had a couple of problems in getting the bars to release it was infrequent. I would suggest you read the owners literature and be sure to clean and lubricate the towbar regularly. It makes a difference

Roadmaster Falcon All-Terrain Tow Bar - Non-Binding - RV Mount - 2" Hitch - 6,000 lbs
This towbar has been very disappointing. When it was time for a new towbar, I decided to downgrade from the Sterling to this Falcon, and that was a big mistake. This towbar cannot be described as "non-binding". Unless your tow vehicle is perfectly aligned with the motorhome and level, there is no chance of releasing the latches - they bind and will not release. If I get stuck in a stopped position where the car is misaligned from the coach by more than about 10 degrees, or higher or lower than the hitch by more than a few inches, I have a major project to release the towbar from the car, even sometimes having to use a punch and hammer to forcibly remove the hitch pins. Further, after just a few months of use, one of the release mechanisms quit working altogether, so I my partner has to start the car and jiggle back and forth in order to find a spot where I can remove the hitch pins. Once the towbar is unhooked, I have to use a screwdriver to dig around under the failed release lever in order to push the cam in manually so I can push the outer arm back in. The guides along the arms for the cables are not useful and dangerous. I initially used straight power and safety cables running through the guides, and they go chewed up in a short period of time. I had to buy new coiled cables that do not run through the guides, and have had no further problem. As a towbar, this device works fine. But it is NOT non-binding, and I highly recommend upgrading to one of the higher-end towbars. This device is too problematic to recommend, and I would never buy it again.
It took me awhile to decide if this would work with the Rough Country bumper I wanted to put on my 2010 Jeep Wrangler. After looking at numerous photos of the bumper I decided to pull the trigger and it worked. The mount cleared the bumper and I’m very pleased with how easy it was to mount and use the tow bar. I did everything myself except wiring the plug on my Jeep.

Blue Ox Avail Non-Binding Tow Bar - RV Mount - 2" Hitch - 10,000 lbs
So easy a caveman can do it. Great material quality, etrailer was fast on shipping, and hd support ready if needed. I consider myself an intermediate mechanic sk I had no problems doing this by myself. Instructions were good, I modified to make some install details easier and emergency link better.
We had a towbar failure while on the road. Luckily it failed as we stopped at grocery store and not on the highway. I was able to order a new Blue Ox 10k rated towbar and had it shipped to our next campground. We only had to drive two hours disconnected. RV hitch rated for 8K, SUV is 5400 lbs + contents so a 10K rated towbar and cables gave us piece of mind of being the most robust component of our towing setup.

Roadmaster Nighthawk All-Terrain Tow Bar w/ LED Lights - Non-Binding - RV Mount - 8,000 lbs
I spent five months flat towing my Silverado using this tow bar. I estimate I towed 4,000 miles with it and hooked up and disconnected around 20 times. It has held up very well with no rust or finish issues, which is notable as most of the time my spots were either right on the ocean (within 20 feet of the saltwater) or close to the water. I did rinse frequently and kept the Roadmaster cover on when not in use. Hook ups and disconnects are quick and easy, I suggest using gloves as one time when I raised it up to 90 degrees to snap in to the retainer after unhooking one of the bars was still extended and slid down and pinched my finger pretty good. (This was simply my stupidity, not the fault of the design, but gloves would have helped:) The LED lights on the sides also help make the rig more visible from the side. In my opinion this is the highest quality tow bar currently on the market. eTrailer also did an outstanding job on the entire flat tow installation.
We traveled 7,200 miles last winter pulling your 2023 2 door Jeep Wrangler and it performed Excellent. I did buy the optional cover which I think this is a wise investment to protect it when parked.

Blue Ox Alpha 2 Non-Binding Tow Bar - RV Mount - 2" Hitch - 6,500 lbs
I keep this covered in the Blue Ox cover when not in use but it the paint is still flaking and rusting out. It still works but cannot believe it's so cheaply painted that it did that.
Adam provided excellent service and made the purchase easy. Long time Blue Ox customer. This is my fourth tow bar.

Roadmaster Nighthawk All-Terrain Tow Bar for Blue Ox Base Plate - Non-Binding - LEDs - RV Mount - 8K
We've been towing our Jeep Grand Cherokee for about 8 months now with this tow bar and it's worked flawlessly! We've been places where the coach and Jeep are not perfectly aligned putting the attaching pins in a bind, but with a simple release of the handle it would release the arm and unbind the pin. Super easy to use. I highly recommend the Nighthawk All Terrain, Non-Binding tow bar. OH! The LED lights along the arm make it look great too!!
Quick delivery and the tow bar was well packed and configured for my Blue Ox base plate. Thanks

Roadmaster BlackHawk 2 All-Terrain Non-Binding Tow Bar - RV Mount - 2" Hitch - 10,000 lbs
This is one of the best, two items I purchased of about 6 or 7 items acquired to rig my 2001 GMC YukonXL for flat towing. The 10,000 lb capacity is valued. the tow bar slides work well. the 3/4inch pins are strong and I have had no problems. The tow bar pulls a YukonXL with some extra stuff, fuel and tools and weighs probably 6,500 lbs (my est--haven't put it on a CAT scale). When I rig my 2020 Chev Silverado Trail Boss to flat tow, I expect to be able to use this.
Perfect bar to tow my 2015 Chevy Silverado 1500 Crew Cab. My earlier Falcon is great for my lighter Honda CRV. Thus one is robust and works flawlessly for my Silverado. eTrailer came through again as usual.

Blue Ox Acclaim Non-Binding Tow Bar - Coupler Style for 2" Ball - Car Mount - 5,000 lbs
While the quality of this units seems excellent, and it is a good price, I was unable to use it in my setup. I Bought it to go with the Blue Ox base plate for a 2014 Chevy Spark. That base plate sets the tow bar connections 23" above the ground. This tow bar requires a 7" rise from the base plate connection to the hitch. Meaning 30" above the ground at the hitch. In my rig, this would require a hitch riser of over 12". I have no complaints about the tow bar, however, it is not a good option with the 2014 Spark Blue Ox base plate.
Towed a 4 door Rubicon with Dodge 2500 truck. The tow bar did great on the 2000+ mile trip. The bar is very easy to couple and uncouple.

Roadmaster StowMaster Tow Bar - Coupler Style for 2" Ball - Car Mount - 6,000 lbs
The adjustable arms make this tow bar simple to hook up and disconnect. I can pull up behind our RV and hook up in about 3 minuets (including the wiring for our break buddy and putting the transfer in neutral). Disconnecting and stowing the bar is even faster. Although is tow bar is locked to the baseplate and folds flat it is so easy to remove I end up taking it off and putting it in the back when we will not be towing.
I was slightly nervous that this would be difficult to take on and off if I wasn't on flat ground. So for I have not had any issues and I really like that it hooks up to a 2 inch ball. My jeep has a lift on it and getting things level was easy with and adjustable height mount.

Blue Ox Ascent Non-Binding Tow Bar - RV Mount - 2" Hitch - 7,500 lbs
On the road in our RV when I discovered our 3yr 7mo Blue Ox Tow Bar had a failure that I was not going to be able to use again. I call Willian S at etrailer about getting a new Blue Ox Tow Bar and having it shipped to a nearby UPS store. William checked to ensure it would be delivered before our scheduled departure. Not only did he assure me it would meet the timeline but he checked it after shipping to make sure it got here. Also he checked about a “like new” tow bar which saved me ~$500. Thanks for keeping me on the road without delay!
We made the best choice of recommendations when we purchased the Blue Ox Ascent tow bar for our Buick and Winnebago Tour Coach. The setup and hook-up are consistently easy to perform, and it takes us less than 10 minutes to be ready to tow our car. This is a great way to have your cake and eat it, too! LOL!!

Roadmaster Falcon 2 Tow Bar for Blue Ox Base Plates - RV Mount - 2" Hitch - 6,000 lbs
I decided to use an antique Blue Ox tow bar to pull my Mini Cooper behind our RV on a trip to Panama City beach last year. Big Mistake! If it looks questionable, don't use it. When we arrived I was extremely thankful that the Mini was still with us. The old Blue Ox bar was coming apart. I looked locally for a replacement and found one at Camping World and was shocked at the price. eTrailer had the exact same unit for hundreds and hundreds less. And they shipped it quickly right to the camp ground. The Roadmaster Falcon 2 tow bar is very easy to us and mated right up to the Blue Ox kit on the Mini. Thanks eTrailer! We will definitely buy from you again!
Even after I complained to you that I had been -- falsely -- told you do not supply a Blue Ox base plate for Malibus and bought a Roadmaster, you send me a Roadmaster tow bar with some other brand's connectors. I will shortly send you a photograph of the base plate connection I have and expect you to send connections that match it.

Curt Rambler Non-Binding Tow Bar - RV Mount - 2" Hitch - 7,500 lbs
I ordered this tow bar and D ring adapters specifically for my Bronco and it’s way to sloppy and I can’t use this to tow my Bronco
Great Base plate kit! Very easy to follow instructions even with my aftermarket bumper with winch. It fit perfect. The only issue I have is where the safety cables attach to the base plate….the cable connectors are too big to fit through the holes because the Jeep’s frame blocks part of the hole. See photo with red circle. I will have to get a smaller connector.

Demco Dominator Non-Binding Tow Bar - RV Mount - 2" Hitch - 7,500 lbs
Was on the road when my 25 year old tow bar finally gave out. One call to Sheila at etrailer and I had my replacement on the way to fit my same base plates. And I got it the very next day in Ouray, Colorado where regular mail is always late. Etrailer has been consistently spot on every time I have needed anything for RVing and customer service is superb!
This tow bar is incredibly easy to use and our Grand Cherokee tracks very well even up to 70+ MPH. We are towing with our new Dynamax and are looking forward to our first long drive to Texas in December. Would highly recommend to anyone!!

Roadmaster StowMaster Tow Bar - Coupler Style for 2-5/16" Ball - Car Mount - 6,000 lbs
Nice, solid product. Easy to install and remove. Sliding action is very smooth, easy to extend and fold. My hitch coupler is slightly different design than shown but seems very heavy duty.
Absolutely fabulous

Blue Ox Adventurer Adjustable Tow Bar - Coupler Style for 2" Ball - 5,000 lbs
There is not a lot of information on the internet about pulling this kind of VW. I did my homework and this works GREAT when pulling a standard transmission with key left in "ON" position. etrailer has a lot of variety to offer for different needs. This is the lower priced, plain Jane, no frills, less moving parts for something to go wrong - exactly what I was looking for tow bar. With little work it folds up for storage easily. Installation on our '98 diesel VW was clean and easy without incident (I do all my own modifications when needed. There is no rattling loose fit in tight corners or straight a ways. We don't even know we are pulling anything behind our '68 Dodge Travco B210 (modified with 5.9 Cummins)
Works great on our Mini Cooper S Connects with removeable pins, making connections to the RV quick and easy.

Demco Excali-Bar III Non-Binding Tow Bar - Blue Ox and Curt Base Plates-RV Mount-2" Hitch-10.5K
Demco has made MANY improvements over the original Excalibar I purchased 18 years ago. Some of the changes have been with the safety cables being better organized; the main 'towing' bolt being perpendicular to the towing pull tension; being able to adjust the assembly to accommodate a more level alignment between the powered and towed vehicles by 'flipping' or turning over the yoke. Also, it is much easier to store the assembly with the newer pin and plate arrangement, instead of the previous pin system which required getting on the ground and attempting to pin the shaft to secure the tow arms. In addition, the tow arms now have the ability to hold themselves up while you are in the process of disconnecting the tow bar from the powered vehicle. I have not towed my truck behind my motorhome as of yet, so I can't say how it will disengage and be non-binding on the arms for storage. One of the issues I had with the old Excalibar was being somewhat difficult to release and disengage after a trip. Hopefully, that issue has been resolved.
The his is my second one, the first is still fine but after 100,000 miles towing behind three different motorhomes I figured it was time. I towed a GMC 4x4 diesel with a truck camper that weighs about 10,000 pounds and the a Jeep and no a Bronco 4 door.

Roadmaster Tracker Tow Bar - Coupler Style for 2" Ball - 5,000 lbs
Tow bar is great. Installation was difficult due to Tracker frame. I got stuck doing install and needed a mechanic friend to help finish the job and even he had trouble with getting nut onto bolt inside the frame tube. Product & company are excellent. Just difficult due to Tracker frame.
I purchased both the parts of the tow system. I just purchase a Jeep Grand Cherokee (99) to pull behind our motorhome for week end trips. We just returned from the first week-end with access to a vehicle to move around the area, and short trips to town. It adds a wonderful dimension to the experience. This system allowed us to pull this vehicle with our motorhome, and I can say it pulled as if there was nothing behind me. It was quick to hook up, and easy to un-hook. My labor time to install was about 2 1/2 Hours, and went smoothly. This is a wonderful product, and works as desired. I have attached photos of the After installation, and the camp-site we stayed at, (proving we made it)

etrailer SD Non-Binding Tow Bar for Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plates - RV Mount - 6,000 lbs
The wiring kit for the tow base kit was very well engineered and works very well. The videos for installing the base plate we're awesome step by step process and was very easily accomplished by someone with just a wrench and a drill and a few tools.
Outstanding product and even better customer service! Two backyard mechanics installed baseplate and braking system with just one call to confirm proper wire connection. Total package works great.
Installation: Blue Ox Alpha 2 Non-Binding Tow Bar on a 2019 GMC Acadia
Ryan: Hey everybody. My name's Ryan and here at etrailer we install, test fit, and review a lot of different parts. That way we can try to answer any questions those of you might have. And that's exactly what we're doing today on our 2019 GMC Acadia. We're going to be taking a look at the Blue Ox Alpha 2 Tow Bar. So there's going to be a total of five main components needed to flat tow your Acadia down the road.
All About the RoadMaster Falcon Tow Bar - 2019 GMC Acadia
Hi there, Acadia owners, today on your 2019 GMC Acadia, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install Roadmaster's Falcon All-Terrain non-binding tow bar. There's five main components you'll need when flat towing your vehicle behind your motor home. You'll need your tow bar, which is the connection between your motor home and your vehicle. You'll need your base plate, which is the connection point your tow bar is going to attach on your vehicle. You'll need your diode wiring, which is going to take all the lights on your motor home and transfer them to the lights at the back of your vehicle. You'll need your safety cables, which is a supplemental connection in addition to your tow bar, as well as your braking system, which will apply the brakes in our vehicle when we hit the brakes in our motor home. This is my personal favorite pick for the Acadia.
Installing the Roadmaster Nighthawk All-Terrain Tow Bar w/ LED Lights on your 2018 GMC Acadia
Ryan: Hey everybody, Ryan here at etrailer.com. Today, on our 2018 GMC Acadia, we're going to be taking a look at, and showing you how to install the Nighthawk Roadmaster Tow Bar. This is going to give you a little bit more piece of mind because of one thing that most others don't have, and that's this LED lighting here on the side. It's going to illuminate at night, and it's also going to help other motorists be aware that you're towing a vehicle. Now, since these lights are LEDs they're going to be very bright, you can see how bright they illuminate, even on a sunny day. Now our tow bar is going to serve the same purpose as the others, and it's going to not only safely, but securely let us tow our vehicle down the road. You're not going to have to worry about getting a separate ball mount or anything special to connect our tow bar to our motor home. It has an integrated two end shank, that way it'll allow us to just simply plug right in to our hitch.
Test Fitting the Roadmaster Nighthawk All-Terrain Tow Bar on a 2014 GMC Acadia
Hello, neighbors. It's Brad here at etrailer. And today we're taking a look at the Roadmaster Nighthawk Tow Bar on a 2014 GMC Acadia. When it comes to flat towing any vehicle, there's gonna be at least five main components that are required for flat towing, and the first one is gonna be the structural mounting point to the frame of the vehicle, which is gonna be your base plate. And your base plate's gonna give you your mounting points for the rest of the components and bolt up to the frame of the vehicle, and make it safe enough to tow down the road. It's also gonna be your connection point to your tow bar, which is your second component, and that's gonna be the connection point between the hitch on the RV and your base plate.
