Swagman XTC4 Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2016 Chevrolet Tahoe

Today on our 2016 Chevrolet Tahoe we're doing a test fit of the Swagman XTC4 platform style four bike rack. That part number is S64665. Now we already have our bike secured down. First we're going to show you how to secure it in place and we'll go over some features after. On the front and back tire we have our straps. They are going to be rubber straps that just keep our bike tires in place. To remove those, we are just going to pull down and lift up.

Today on our 2016 Chevrolet Tahoe we're doing a test fit of the Softride Element Parallelogram Tilting Hanging Style 4-Bike Rack. That part number is SR26248. Now we already have our bike secured down. We're going to go over some features, take a few measurements, and show you how our bike is secured down. The first thing I want to show you is our tilting feature. Since we can do this with our bike on our rack which is a great feature of a hanging style rack, most you can't do that. We're going to come around to the side. Here we've got our black T-pin, and what we're going to do is pull out on our pin.

Today I have a 2016 Chevrolet Tahoe. We're doing a test fit of the Saris Thelma 3-platform bike rack. That part number is SA4239B. We already have our bike secured in place, but first we're going to show you how we secure that down and then we'll go over some features of the rack itself. Here at our back tire we have a ratcheting strap. It's going to hold that tire in place and be there just for safety.

Today on our 2016 Chevrolet Tahoe we're doing a test fit of the Kuat Transfer 3 Platform Style bike rack. That part number is TS03G. Now we already have our bike secured down. We're going to over some features, take a few measurements, and show you how our bike is secured down. Now the first feature I want to show you is our tilting feature, because we can do this while our bike is still on our rack. We're going to start by moving our two wheel hooks out of the way up here. You can either use your foot or your hand so you hit our lever there. We're going to be allowed to tilt back away from our vehicle.

Two on our top and one is our anti-sway. To release those we're just going to push our buttons on either side and we can fully release it or we can just release one side and leave it set in there. Another great thing about this bike rack is that it does come with a wheel strap.

What we do is we grab onto our bike rack, come down here to our chrome handle, and we're just going to pull that out. We're going to tilt that bike rack away from our vehicle.

We're just going to pull down on this lever here and that's going to allow us to tilt back the bike rack away from our vehicle.

Thule Roof Bike Racks Review - 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe

Today on our 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe, we'll be doing a test fit of Thule Sprint. This is going to be for roof racks with T-track systems to mount your bike rack up on top of your roof rack system. As you can see, up on top of our vehicle, we have the Thule arrow blades today and I want to show you how this fits up on top of there. This will be part number TH5669. One the arrow blades, go ahead and rotate the end cap around, pulling the ends off. Next, you can either do this two ways, pulling the entire rubber strip and protective strip out, that protects that T-track from getting any dirt and debris inside, or you can trim it to fit your bike rack. Today we're going to pull it all the way out. Next, we'll take our bike rack, ensuring that the tops are loose, so that out T-tracks guides can fit into the rail like so.

Swagman Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe

Today on our 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe, we'll be doing test fit of a Swagman Dispatch 2-Bike Platform Rack part number S64684. This comes with a 2 inch shank that goes into a 2 inch hitch. It also has anti-rattle bolt. Right now, we have it installed, but the bolt's not tight. It shows a lot of sway. We need to tighten that up with our 7/8 ratchet like so.



Inno Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe

Today on our 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe we're going to be doing a test fit of the Inno Tire Hold 3. This is going to be your platform-style 3bkr, part number INH305-306. As you can see, we've already got it up here on our vehicle with the bike in place so you can see what it's going to look like once you have it fully assembled and in place on the back of yours. It does come with an 1-1/4" shank as well as a 2" adapter. Now keep in mind that it can be used with your class one, two, and three receivers. If you plan on using it with your class one you're only going to be able to carry up to two bikes, and that is per your hitch's weight specifications. It also will come with your 3/4" anti-rattle bolt with a lock for anti-tamper.

Today on our 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe, we're going to be doing a test fit of the Thule Vertex Swing, part number TH9031XT. This is going to be your hanging style, 4-bike rack and as you can see, we already have our bike on here so you can see what it would look like once you have your bike in place with the cradle arms extended. Now first thing we're going to do is get some measurements, starting with our closest distance first. From the T-handle here to the back side of the bumper is going to be about 6-1/4 inches. Our overall distance with the cradle arms extended is going to be from the rear of the bumper to that point and about 37 inches. Our ground clearance will be from the base of the bike rack at about 21-5/8 inches. Now let's move up front and talk about the swing feature. Go ahead and remove this pin on the end, and it has two holes.

Today on our 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe, we are going to be doing a test fit of the Thule Vertex. This is going to be your hanging-style 4 bike rack. It's going to be part number TH9029XT. As you can see, we've already got our bike up here, so you can see what it would look like once you have your bike in place and the whole rack installed. The first thing we're going to do is get a few measurements, starting with our closest distance first, which will be from that flange on the the front-hand side of the rack to the back side of the bumper. That distance is going to be about 3-3/4 inches.



SportRack Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe

Today on our 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe we're going to be doing a test fit of the Sport Rack Ridge. This is going to be your hanging-style 4-bike rack with the swing-away option. It's going to be part number SR2415. As you can see, we've already got our bike up here and mounted so you can see what it would look like once you get it all installed and with your bike in place. The first thing we're going to start with is getting our measurements. The closest distance will be our first one. That's going to be from that t-handle on the fronthand side to the back fascia and bumper here, about 5-1/2".

Today on our 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe we're going to be doing a test fit of the Swagman Trailhead. This is going to be your hanging-style 4-bike rack, part number S63380. As you can see, we've already got our bike up here so you can see what it would look like once you have your bike in place with your cradle arms extended when you're ready to hit the road. First thing we're going to do is get a few measurements, starting off with the closest distance first, which in this case is going to be from right here at the bottom of the bend in the shank to the back end of your receiver. Now note that this does have your 1-1/4" shank. If you do decide to put it in your class one hitches, that you're only going to be able to carry two bikes. Now it does have that 2" adapter as well, so it's going to attach to that 2" receiver.



Pro Series Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe

Today, on a 2015 Chevy Tahoe, we're going to be doing a test fit of the Pro Series Q-Slot. This is going to be your Platform Style 4-Bike Rack. Part Number PS63138. As you can see, we've already got one bike up on here, so you can see what it would look like once you have it installed on your vehicle with a bike in place. It does connect with that 2 inch shank to your 2 inch receiver only. So, you're not going to be able to use it with that class 1 and class 2 hitch. All right, let's talk about a few things first starting with the measurements. The closest measurement will be the first one.



SportRack Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe

Today, on our 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe, we're going to be doing a test fit to this Four Rack Ridge Five. This is going to be your Hanging Style Five Bike Rack, part number SR2405. As you can see, we've already got our bike up here and mounted so that you can see what it look like once you have your bike in place with the cradle arms extended and the rack in place. Let's go ahead and get some measurements starting with our closest distance first. From the front of the bracket here to the back end of the vehicle. It's going to be about two and seven eighths inches.
