The Thule Compass Kayak and SUP Carrier w/ Tie-Downs - J-Style # TH890000 will actually fit Adarac ladder racks such as # A4000965 that you referenced. You do not need any adapter or conversion kit as this kayak carrier will simply clamp onto the Adarac ladder rack's crossbars. I attached a demonstration video for you.
