Best 2017 Dodge Grand Caravan Trailer Hitch Ball Mounts

I had tested while driving with the hitch ball on it and with it on the lowest setting it would scrape against the ground when I am going down a slight slope. I had to switch it to the highest setting to avoid it, it still scrapes so I just leave it off until I need to start towing things.

All in one kit is Very convenient. but before you order, ensure the rise/drop of this ball mount is correct for your hitch/trailer. Also - there is a gusset plate welded on the back of the ballmount (Drawtite 2953) in this kit, - on the 2010 Dodge Caravan with the Draw Tite Class III hitch,this plate just rubs/touches the bumper, so this draw bar can't be used on 2006-on Caravan.

Nice little bag to store the extra ball and the ball mount when it is not in use. This is an excellent product, pulled my trailer within minutes of installation without a problem. Great feature with the removable ball, includes the 1 7/8" and 2" ball, this is awesome. The 2 3/4" rise fits my Caravan and trailer like they were custom made for each other. The trailer rides almost PERFECTLY level with the trailer. Put an actual level on the trailer after hooking it up and it is only a hair off the level, and of course this is probably due to road conditions. Great product at a fabulous price! I bought this separately when I bought a new hitch. It appeared to be less expensive to buy the hitch, ball mount, and ball all separately. there's not much to say, just get the one with the correct amount of rise/drop for your car and trailer. 2" rise is what I needed for my Grand Caravan and jet ski trailer.

All ordered parts arrived in good condition, and were correct. Impressed with on time delivery. Hitch and wiring harness were a perfect fit. Only had trouble finding correct wire from brake light switch on 2016 Dodge Caravan .

It fits nicely, is very well hidden under the vehicle. It is worth knowing that one nut requires very high torque.

I needed to find a hitch for a 2005 Dodge Caravan. I found this website and typed in the information needed (make, model, year) and up popped a detailed listing of the types of hitches I could use, with the prices and the amount of time needed to install the hitch. I ordered the hitch and received an email when the order was processed, plus an email with a tracking number as well. The unit arrived very quickly with no damage or scratches. The next day I installed the hitch according to the instructions included with the unit. I did this installation alone and it took less than 2 hours. The unit fit as advertised and looks very nice. I could not be more pleased with the hitch. I also bought the wiring harness for my vehicle and the drawbar kit as well. All items worked as they should. The instructions for the wiring harness were excellent as well. This was a one stop shop very simple a great experience.

Real fast shipping on top of a great price lead to easy instalation. Done it all by myself with no problem but working the frame bolts out is tough. Make sure to run them back up and down while taking them out to avoid breaking.

This is a great all-purpose hitch. I've used it to mount a heavy-duty bike rack and a steel T-rack to carry a canoe as well as lumber. Most recently I hauled 5 x 8 cargo trailers full of plants, then furniture for a 600-mile move. It was simple to use, problem free, very strong and sturdy. Now that I live on some acreage, I see a trailer in my future, so this will get a lot more use. I drive a 2013 Tacoma, so this is a good size hitch at a good price with sufficient capacity for my needs. I do use a key lock for the hitch as well.

I actually got my hitch the date they said it would be here to my surprise. When the box arrived it was pretty much beat up, not the hitch just the box. I wished there was instructions how to install it. Overall very satisfied and will buy from 5hem again

I needed to tow a trailer with a 2" ball. My original ball mount has a 1 7/8" ball installed. I had previously tried to change a ball on a hitch and destroyed the nut and damaged the underside of the ball mount. The lock washer had done a great job in keeping the nut from coming off. I dreaded trying to remove my 1 7/8" ball to install a new one that I would only use once. I decided to buy a new ball mount and mount the new 2" ball. This ball mount is so inexpensive that I realized I could have both ball sizes permanently mounted for use in either ball size.

I wasn't sure what type of ball mount I needed for my new Mazda CX-9, so I had to call a representative. The first time I called, the very knowledgeable gentlemen told me exactly how to measure my SUV to figure out the drop I needed. I called back the next day and talked to a lady who helped me figure out exactly what I needed. This is my second purchase from etrailer. The first was a hitch for my old Honda Odyssey, which was also a great experience. Raised receiver portion was exactly what I needed to attach my cargo carrier, as my Grand Caravan Receiver was too low to the ground.

We sold our small motor home and purchased a small travel trailer. This hitch provided a perfect solution to how to use our bike rack while towing the trailer. It even allows room for the pickup tailgate to be lowered without removing the bikes from the rack. The hitch is very hefty with a high weight limit - plenty for the GVW of the trailer (7,000#) plus 125# of rack and bikes.

Very happy with this ball mount - provides just the amount of drop we required for a level tow of our GeoPro travel trailer by our RAM2500. Plus, the extra length not only allows a tighter turning radius, but also allows us to lower the truck tailgate without having to detach the trailer. Huge improvement on all accounts for us compared to our prior setup. The product is well built and I'm confident will provide us years of good use.

The Extra Long Ball Mount proved useful immediately upon receipt. Delivery was prompt, and the updates from etrailer.com helped plan transport of several bicycles, simultaneously with a camper trailer. The extended length facilitated use with a Swagman bicycle rack, also purchased via etrailer.com. This slightly longer than average bar was perfect for my application. The drop length was perfect also for the application. As usual, eTrailer's site and retail experience was first rate. Lots of info and specs (and videos) available makes it easier to get that piece of mind knowing that what you needed was what you ordered.

Delivery was delayed from the manufacturer. Further delay was encountered when shipment was mis directed to Sheboygan. When it finally arrived there was a hole in the box and the receiver was poking out. Lucky the paint wasn't damaged. The part is what I ordered.

I've got a lowered 1995 VW Jetta with a 1.25" receiver. I had to use a 6" extension along with a long, straight drawbar so any steep incline had me going at an angle and even then I would sometimes scrape. Some one had this drawbar on their Jetta and it looked good. With the measurements provided on this site I determined it would sit far enough away from my bumper and elevate the ball so my trailer wouldn't be angled down so much. Very glad I ordered this unit, it fits the car and works perfectly! Much better than my previous fix.

Excellent product! With the three different ball sizes, this tri-ball mount gives you a lot of flexibility. Gone are the days of having several different ball mounts to fit different tongues. High quality construction makes this an excellent investment.

This item should solve the problem I have had with a stainless 3-way ball when I tried to reverse the position on the ball mount. The threads galled between the hex nut and hitch ball.

I neeed to pull a trailer with my 2019 GMC Yukon. I found Etrailer.com and followed the instructions on determining the drop of the hitch, the instructions were spot on. I hooked up my trailer to my Yukon today, all was level and worked perfectly. I had driven around to Napa, Lowe’s, Home Depot and Walmart, and nobody had the 9” drop hitch I needed. works well brings the trailer tongue up to level. I have it on an EV so the raddle is annoying, because I just keep on forgetting to buy a anti rattler.

This is very sturdy hitch. It is made of solid steel, not tubing. It will be used on my Mazda RX-3 to tow my car dolly to the RV lot where I will swap everything around and the car will end up on the dolly behind my RV.
