I had tested while driving with the hitch ball on it and with it on the lowest setting it would scrape against the ground when I am going down a slight slope. I had to switch it to the highest setting to avoid it, it still scrapes so I just leave it off until I need to start towing things.

All in one kit is Very convenient. but before you order, ensure the rise/drop of this ball mount is correct for your hitch/trailer. Also - there is a gusset plate welded on the back of the ballmount (Drawtite 2953) in this kit, - on the 2010 Dodge Caravan with the Draw Tite Class III hitch,this plate just rubs/touches the bumper, so this draw bar can't be used on 2006-on Caravan.

Nice little bag to store the extra ball and the ball mount when it is not in use. This is an excellent product, pulled my trailer within minutes of installation without a problem. Great feature with the removable ball, includes the 1 7/8" and 2" ball, this is awesome. The 2 3/4" rise fits my Caravan and trailer like they were custom made for each other. The trailer rides almost PERFECTLY level with the trailer. Put an actual level on the trailer after hooking it up and it is only a hair off the level, and of course this is probably due to road conditions. Great product at a fabulous price! It fits nicely, is very well hidden under the vehicle. It is worth knowing that one nut requires very high torque.

I needed to find a hitch for a 2005 Dodge Caravan. I found this website and typed in the information needed (make, model, year) and up popped a detailed listing of the types of hitches I could use, with the prices and the amount of time needed to install the hitch. I ordered the hitch and received an email when the order was processed, plus an email with a tracking number as well. The unit arrived very quickly with no damage or scratches. The next day I installed the hitch according to the instructions included with the unit. I did this installation alone and it took less than 2 hours. The unit fit as advertised and looks very nice. I could not be more pleased with the hitch. I also bought the wiring harness for my vehicle and the drawbar kit as well. All items worked as they should. The instructions for the wiring harness were excellent as well. This was a one stop shop very simple a great experience.

Real fast shipping on top of a great price lead to easy instalation. Done it all by myself with no problem but working the frame bolts out is tough. Make sure to run them back up and down while taking them out to avoid breaking.

I wasn't sure what type of ball mount I needed for my new Mazda CX-9, so I had to call a representative. I called back the next day and talked to a lady who helped me figure out exactly what I needed. This is my second purchase from etrailer. The first was a hitch for my old Honda Odyssey, which was also a great experience. I needed to tow a trailer with a 2" ball. My original ball mount has a 1 7/8" ball installed. I had previously tried to change a ball on a hitch and destroyed the nut and damaged the underside of the ball mount. The lock washer had done a great job in keeping the nut from coming off. I dreaded trying to remove my 1 7/8" ball to install a new one that I would only use once. I decided to buy a new ball mount and mount the new 2" ball. This ball mount is so inexpensive that I realized I could have both ball sizes permanently mounted for use in either ball size.

Perfectly as described, Box was a heavy hitch and the box must have been damaged in shipping so it was a little delayed. You can't mess up a forged hitch it still is in excellent condition.

I bought this to use it for the 3 inch rise it provided. I have a lowered truck and towing my car carrier would prove to be difficult at times. The 3 inch raised that this provided made the trailer stay in a more manageable position. The heavy solid metal construction is of extremely high-quality. I would not have any hesitation towing something at the rated 16,000 pound capacity.
