NOCO GENIUS10 Smart Battery Charger Dimensions

The NOCO Genius 10-amp smart charger quickly charges and maintains your 6V and 12V lead-acid and lithium-ion batteries, using a standard household outlet. Rated for 6V and 12V batteries up to 230 amp-hours, it's a great charger for cars, motorcycles, lawnmowers, ATVs, tractors, trucks, SUVs, and boats. With 7 selectable battery profiles, multi-stage charging, and advanced safety features, this Genius smart charger makes it easy to keep your batteries in peak condition. There's even a Force Mode feature for charging dead batteries with 0-volts.

NOCO GENIUS10 Genius Battery Charger Operation

This Genius smart charger removes the frustration of having to own multiple devices to charge different battery types and vehicles. Just attach the battery clamps to the vehicle's battery terminals, select a charging mode to match your application, and wait for the LED indicator to signal that the battery is completely charged. It's that simple.

User-Friendly Interface with LED Indicators

NOCO GENIUS10 LED Charging Indicators

This Genius smart charger was designed to provide a simple, user-friendly experience. The mode button allows you to easily cycle through the unit's charge settings. Back-lit LED indicators let you verify that the unit is operating correctly, and they allow it to be easily operated at night. These indicators signal the unit's charge status, selected charging mode, and alert you to potential performance issues or errors.

NOCO GENIUS10 Smart Diagnostics Troubleshooting Explained

These indicators allow you to quickly identify a problem with the battery or connection. So you don't have to waste time guessing if the battery voltage is too high or too low for your selected mode, or worry about damage from a reversed polarity connection to a battery.

8 Battery Charging Modes

This Genius 10-amp smart charger has 8 selectable charging modes that let you quickly switch between charging different lead-acid and lithium-ion battery types at different voltages. Traditional battery chargers generally only work with a specific voltage or battery type, like lithium-ion or AGM batteries, or only in special circumstances like charging in cold environments. This Genius smart charger gives you the versatility to tackle different battery types and charging situations in one charger.

NOCO GENIUS10 Automatic Battery Charger Charging Modes Explained

The image above details the available charging profiles. The charger works with 6V and 12V wet cell, gel cell, enhanced flooded, calcium, maintenance-free, AGM, and lithium-ion batteries with baterry management systems (BMS). A 12V repair mode lets you restore lost capacity to sulfated and old batteries.

NOCO GENIUS10 Force Mode for Charging Zero Voltage Batteries

The Genius 10-amp can detect and charge batteries that have been drained to 1-volt. And by activating the Force Mode, the charger can even charge dead batteries with 0-volts. Traditional chargers can't detect a battery when the voltage drops below a certain level. To activate Force Mode hold the mode button down for 5 seconds.

12V power supply mode lets you power a 12V accessory. This works great for powering accessories like a tire inflator around the home or garage.

Genius Precision Battery Clamps

NOCO GENIUS10 Genius Precision Battery Clamps

The needle-nosed battery clamps included with this Genius smart charger are designed to easily connect to battery terminals of all shapes and sizes. Unlike typical, plastic battery clamps, these clamps are constructed entirely of metal, ensuring maximum conductivity. The clamps are covered with an over-molded plastic housing, which makes them easy to operate even with work gloves on. A built-in 20-amp fuse protects your connection against dangerous overloads.

NOCO GENIUS10 Battery Clamps with Eyelet Connectors

Extra-large 13/32" eyelet connectors can be unbolted from the clamps for direct mounting to terminals on hard-to-reach batteries. The lie-flat design ensures maximum contact with terminals to optimize current transfer.

Quickly Charge and Maintain Batteries from 120VAC Power Source

NOCO GENIUS10 AC Plug for Wall Outlet Charging

This Genius smart charger plugs into an available wall outlet to quickly charge and maintain your battery. High-frequency switch-mode technology converts AC power into safe DC power to fully charge batteries. An onboard microcomputer monitors and controls this charging process to minimize power loss and maximize efficiency. The included mounting bracket with hook-and-loop strap lets you mount the unit in an enclosed compartment, garage, or workspace.

NOCO GENIUS10 Charging Times for Battery Sizes

The table above provides a quick reference for how long it will take the unit to charge some different battery sizes.

Rugged Weatherproof Design

NOCO GENIUS10 Rugged Weatherproof Housing

The Genius10 smart charger comes with over-molded connection points to protect the unit from dirt, dust, and water. The unit has an IP65 rating, meaning the housing is considered "dust tight" and protected against water sprayed from a nozzle. A durable X-connect plug ensures a weathertight connection when attaching the clamps to the charger.

The housing is made from tough Lexan resin that protects the internal electronics against impacts. The unit can handle being dropped, kicked over, and just about anything else your day brings.

Interchangeable X-Connect Accessories

NOCO GENIUS10 X-Connect Accessories for Versatile Charging Solutions

This Genius smart charger features a unique X-Connect plug that lets you disconnect the battery clamps and attach other X-Connect accessories (all sold separately) for versatile plug-and-play charging solutions. Add an extension cord to increase your connections reach, or use the 12V female plug to connect and power 12V accessories. Access your vehicle's battery through charging ports with the OBDII connector, or the 12V male plug. With a large variety of available accessories this battery charger can be outfitted to meet your application's specific charging needs.

  • Can 3 Batteries Be Wired In Parallel?
Hello Merlin. Nice drawing but I do not recommend wiring batteries the way shown in your diagram. Batteries wired in parallel must always be wired in pairs. Your best bet will be to get either two new identical batteries and wire them in parallel, or get two new higher capacity batteries to replace your current two.

  • How To Wire In A NOCO Battery Charger To Two Batteries Wired In Parallel
It looks like your batteries are wired in parallel so the positive cable of the NOCO Genius Smart Battery Charger # 329-GENIUS10 can be ran to the positive post on one battery and the negative cable from the charger can be ran to the negative post on the same battery. This specific charger only comes with clamps instead of ring terminals so I recommend picking up the Replacement X-Connect Eyelet Terminals # 329-GC002 for a more secure connection to the battery bank.

  • Recommended Battery Charger for Harley Davidson Softail Heritage
Greetings, If you were looking for something that would work great to keep your Harley's battery topped off while being stored over the winter the Noco Genius part # 329-GENIUS2D is the best option as it's a 2 amp charger that's priced really great and will work well for that purpose. If you were looking for something with a higher amperage rating that will charge a dead battery quicker and can maintain a charged battery through storage the part # 329-GENIUS10 is the best option. • Is Battery Charger Needed or Does 7-Way Charge Trailer Battery
Hey there James; good question and the reason a battery charger is needed is because the 7-way on your truck doesn't provide a full charge to your trailer battery, it is a maintenance charge. There is too much power loss due to the distance from your vehicle battery to the trailer battery, so fully recharging your battery via 7-way isn't possible. So you do need a separate charger, and can use something simple that just plugs into a wall such as the NOCO Genius Smart Battery Charger #...

  • Difference Between NOCO Genius Smart Battery 5 Amp and 10 Amp Chargers
The amp rating is really the only difference between the NOCO Genius Smart Battery Charger 5 Amp # 329-GENIUS5 and the 10 Amp # 329-GENIUS10. The 5 amp weighs in at 1.5 ls and works with batteries up to 120 amp-hours while the 10 amp weighs in at 3.3 lbs and works with batteries up to 230 amp-hours. So the 10 amp version is for a bigger application but that's it. I don't know what battery you have in your Yamaha but you can use the specs I mentioned above as a guide. There should be an...

As long as the remote connections are clean and useable you shouldn't have any issues connecting your NONO charger, like part # 329-GENIUS10, to the remote battery contacts. If you find the connection isn't solid then I recommend installing the X-Connect Eyelet Terminals # 329-GC002 permanently to your battery and securing the pigtail inside your engine bay so it's a quick and easy connection when you need to connect the charger to your vehicle. This fits 1/4" eyelet terminals so if you...

  • Do Both Wires on ETBC7 Need to be Installed on 2018 Jeep Compass if Trailer Doesnt Have Brakes
You are correct. If you don't have brakes on your trailer then you can just use the Universal Wiring Kit # ETBC7 as an adapter and then only connect the 12V power to the battery on your 2018 Jeep Compass to help maintain your battery level. I do recommend routing the brake controller wire from the 7-Way at least up to the engine compartment though since this is duplex wiring. This will make it easier to install a brake controller if you need to do so in the future. To keep your trailer...

  • AGM Battery Charging Recommendation Between Smart Charger or Solar Panel
If your trailer is going to be parked near an outlet when you aren't using it then a smart charger will be more cost-effective and still sufficiently charge your battery, but if your trailer isn't near an outlet then you'll need to go with solar panels. I personally like the solar panel setup the best because it means your batteries can virtually be charged anywhere there is sun but a lot of this has to do with your budget so below is what I recommend out of either system - pricing can...

The trailer connector won't deliver enough power to drive the # BD1824180100 powered drive kit. You'll need to install a battery on the trailer, and you can use the 12-v feed from the trailer connector to keep the battery topped off, but it won't provide enough amperage to recharge the battery once its discharged. You'll want to use a battery charger like the NOCO Genius, part # 329-GENIUS10 when shore power is available to recharge the trailer mounted battery.
