Hey Russell. I attached a diagram below that will show you how to wire batteries in series and in parallel. Batteries in series are wired negative to positive. Batteries in parallel are wired positive to positive and negative to negative.
Depending on what voltage and amp hours you're looking for, there are a few ways to wire your 6 batteries.
To get the 12V output that most RVs use, you'll want to wire the first two batteries in a series configuration and the rest in a parallel configuration. You can take a look at the included picture as a reference.
The first two would have one positive connected to the other's negative. The remaining positive and negative would be connected to the second pair's same sign or positive to positive and negative to negative. That second pair would connect to the third pair like that as well (+ to + and - to -). The third pair would have the positive connected to the 12V and the negative to the ground.
In this way, you would get 12V and increased amp hours. I recommend the NOCO Genius Smart Charger, item # 329-GENIUS10. It has multi-stage charging to charge faster.
What are you installing these batteries in?
