Stay off-grid longer. Charge your trailer battery as you drive, check power from your phone, and keep your gear running so you can settle in, relax, and enjoy your favorite camping spot without worrying about power.
You don't camp so you can sit there with the engine running to charge up your battery. This kit from Redarc charges your trailer while you're on the move, so you can pull into your camping spot with a cold fridge and lights ready to flip on. The charger sorts out where the power comes from: solar, alternator, or both. With Green Power Priority, the system pulls solar energy first, so you're not burning extra fuel or putting unnecessary strain on your engine. If the sun fades or clouds roll in, the charger automatically switches over to your alternator.
It also has smart, multi-stage charging to keep your battery healthy: "boost" to get you going, "absorption" for topping off, and "float" for maintaining the right level of power, so your fridge and other gear stays running and you never have to worry if your battery is getting the right charge. This charger even has fault recognition technology built in, so your battery and charger are protected from voltage spikes, overheating, overcurrent events, and wiring mishaps. This charging kit from Redarc lets you focus more on your adventure and less on managing the system behind it.
You have enough unknowns on the road without the concern of a dead battery. The monitor in this kit connects to the RedVision app to give you your battery's details at a glance. And Bluetooth 5.1 lets you monitor your 12V battery status from up to 137 feet away, so you can sit by the fire with friends, start grilling dinner, or relax in the hammock and still see how much power you have. You can even set an alarm for when you have a low charge or low voltage, so if that hammock is comfy and you're worried about dozing off, go ahead and take that nap and let Redarc take care of your power.

Hello neighbors, it's Brad here from etrailer, and today I'm at N.A.T.M. And this convention brings a lot of the vendors that we have at etrailer to a convention where we have their booths and their products set up. I had a chance to catch up with quite a few of them, so let's take a look at their products a little bit up close and ask some of the questions to those vendors about their products. I'm here with Erich from REDARC, and REDARC's brand that etrailer has and we all love it as far as brake controllers, but you guys extend way beyond that and one of those is a BCDC. What is a BCDC Alright, so BCDC stands for battery charger direct current. This one is designed for dump trailers, small camping trailers, things like that.
So what this does is it takes the power, takes the power from your battery and your alternator and cleans it up so you can go into your aux battery when you have long runs, things like that you'll get some voltage drop. These guys will kick that voltage back up. Also provides a three stage charge where your alternator is just throwing current at your battery. This is gonna meter it and make sure you get that proper three stage charge. This particular one's designed to plug into the 7-way of a trailer, put it in the tongue box and it'll keep that battery charged while you're driving.
Important for dump trailers, things like that, where normally they're just plugging in at night. When the battery's dead, the battery's dead. You're kind of stuck. So this is a great way to make sure between jobs, you're charging the dump. New at this show we've launched the BCDC 1212S.
That's the T, this is the S. This guy has a 40 amp MPPT solar controller built into it. So the cool thing about that is wiring up a trailer something like that, whether you use a solar or not, it's great to have that option just to be able to provide an extra means a the trailer's sitting, you're still getting some charge. We've got some larger models. More for your overlanding crowd.
BCDC 1225. So this is a 25 amp DC to DC charger, 25 amp MPPT solar controller. Your battery isolator is also built into this unit too. So you're protecting your start battery as you're using your auxiliary battery. We have these in 40 amp and we have them in 50 amp. We have a new model out, the BCDC Alpha series. So these two, everything that the old ones do but we've added a couple cool new features now. You can now, if you have a solar panel wired up, when it senses that your auxiliary battery's fully charged, it'll divert that power back to your start battery. Keep your start battery completely charged up and ready to go. Really cool. Another thing, if your start battery completely dies, you could put your BCDC into a boost mode, which is now going to pull from the aux battery back to your start battery for 15 minutes. Give that thing enough charge, you could start up and go. So overlanding situations, things like that it's imperative that you're ready for any situation. That type of battery charge right there is gonna make sure you're protected. That's a lifeline. Absolutely, yeah 'cause as soon as you run outta power and you're in a place where, well, there is none, you're stuck. Exactly. No one's gonna come save you. You gotta be able to get out on your own. You bet. Well, and as you mentioned, there's a ton of different applications. I've installed BCDC's on dump trailers as he mentioned. A lot of my friends are race car guys and they put a solar panel on their box and that way they can use their winch to tow the car up. You know, at the end of the day they don't have to worry about their battery being dead. Yeah, think about short track guys too. Their trailer is essentially their pit stall. And I see a lot of 'em with LED lights, things like that. You gotta keep that stuff powered up. This is a great way to do that. Yeah, absolutely. Big thanks to Erich from REDARC for taking the time to explain all of their lineup and really, you know, just kind of giving us a little bit more insight into their products and why they're probably gonna be a great option for you. So if you're looking at REDARC, I'm here to tell you they're fantastic products. I think you're gonna be really happy. Thanks, Erich. Thank you.
