Hi, everyone; Steven here with etrailer. Today, we're taking a look at our CTEK NXT 5 battery charger for lead acid and lithium batteries. So, folks, this is a great option for you. It supports both 12-volt lead acid and lithium-ion batteries. It has an eight-step fully automatic charging cycle built into it. So it will revive deeply discharged batteries with desulphation and reconditioning modes alike.
It uses an automatic temperature compensation for extreme temperature conditions. So whether it's hot or cold, you're gonna be just fine. And it has AGM optimization for both start and stop vehicle batteries. It is compact. It's a very robust (charger thuds on table) and lightweight (charger thuds on table) but heavy duty.
You got a nice length of cord here, and then you got your primary connection comin' off the back. You can use it for the traditional (attachment clicks) alligator-style clips (clips click) to go right to the battery. (clips clatter) And you got a built-in inline fuse here, of course, (equipment thuds) which is pretty standard nowadays. (charger clatters) And then, of course, you have a simple push down, little spring load kind of disconnect. (equipment clatters) And then you can connect what we call U-terminal connectors (connector clicks) as well, so if you wanna have something like this permanently connected on your battery or something like that at the terminals, you have that option as well, which I like.
So I actually have something like this, not this particular brand, on my battery, on my lawnmower at home, and it uses solar power to keep that charged. So I do like that style of connection personally for my stuff, so. Two different options here. You have low back, current drain built in and low ripple for battery safety, and it uses spark free and reverse polarity protection, so you're not gonna accidentally mix 'em up and cause a fault or an error here. Everything, once you have it powered in, you simply push the mode button to change the mode you want and everything.
And it's got a lot of different options built into it. And if you've been around for a while, you've heard of CTEK most likely. Great company, great products, (charger clatters) and you're not gonna be displeased, in my opinion. Now, as always, folks, if you have any questions about this or any of our other products, reach out to us. We're here to assist you in any way we can. I'm Steven with etrailer. Thanks for watching.
