If you have a bicycle with an irregular frame - such as a woman's, child's, or full-suspension bike - you may need a bike adapter bar to carry your bike on a single- or dual-arm, hanging-style bike rack. This adapter bar creates a horizontal mounting point that ensures your bike will hang level on the rack for safe transport.
This adapter telescopes from 23" to 29" long. The ends of the telescoping tube have plastic collars that clamp around your bike's seat post and handlebar stem post. To open a collar, push down on the tab and slide it open.
Place the collar around your bike frame and slide it back into place until it secures with an audible click. These plastic collars help protect your bike from scratches. And the black powder coated steel construction resists rust.

Wish we bought these 2 years ago. Easy to use and work great with our step thru ebikes. This gives a place to easily tie down the bikes on the bike rack.
The Rhino-Rack is well made and makes loading a woman's bike easier. It fits well with this rack.

Very pleased with overall experience dealing with customer representative Wayne. Placed my order and asked a number of questions regarding the Thule rack that I wished to purchase. Bought it for my wife's new, as yet undelivered, bike. I've used these before and this one looks very heavy duty and I expect it'll provide excellent service. The fit and finish are well done. The ends that will attach to the bike appear to have a very robust material coating that will protect the bike's finish when used. I expect the adapter bar will work very well and provide years of service with little maintenance required, if any.

The adapter bar for my wifes bike has worked perfectly. Its easy to install and remove and is very secure once installed. I added some foam to protect the bars finish from the bike rack J-hook and it still looks like new. Very satisfied with the adapter bar.
This was part of my third order from etrailer.com. We needed something to make carrying my wife's bike easier. Shipment arrived this morning along with the rack. This is extremely well made and should last a lone time. This makes carrying a girls bike really easy. Have already installed rack and bikes on RV and took it for a test drive. Perfect!!! Would recommend the adaptor bar over similar products I looked at locally.

After my last review we went on a 7000 mile RV trip through 9 states which lasted 27 days. The rack and bar were great. At night all we had to do was easily remove the bikes and lower the rack out of the way for access to RV storage if needed. I would periodically check the bikes and all were really secured. Getting ready for another trip 0f 5000 miles. Don’t have to worry about our bikes.I had previously purchased a hitch mounted motorcycle carrier which has been used on a3500 mile trip. Performed great. No problem in loading or unloading our scooter. Thanks for great products.

The reason I chose this rack is we have (2) 75 pound ebikes that needed a very strong rack. This rack works great once I figured out how to space the bikes properly. Very strong and sturdy. I just fold down the center post and load the first bike, raise it and load bike 2. The frame bar adapters work well with these bikes.
We travel in a motorhome and tow a pickup truck . Something I don’t understand is this rack is not recommended for use on a towed vehicle.
What is the difference between driving a vehicle with the bike rack and towing the vehicle as far as the use of the rack?

Once I figured out how to use the Rhino-Rack Bike Frame Adapter Bar for Women's Bikes, I found it most helpful to mount and carry such a bike on a rear or trunk-mounted bike rack. The directions were not clear how to extend the bar and my attempts to do so were insufficient. Finally, and purely by accident, I exerted enough pull to do so; the directions should be more explicit. The etrailer person who helped me was most helpful and willing to exchange what I thought was a defective product. Also, etrailer was most timely in sending the bar. If and when I have a need for another etrailer product, I will certainly use them. They were great.

My wife's bicycle is too small to be held firmly in the hitch rack. This adapter bar makes it workable and easier to lock with the other bike in the rack.

I am very pleased with my bike rack. Assembly was easy and I also ordered the Rhino adapter bar for my bike which I managed with no problem. I like the fact that it folds down to allows easy storage. I had no problem lifting my bike on the rack and securing it. I highly recommend this rack. Love it!
I have a difficult car fit for a rear bike rack. etrailer is where I found the only option. The Yakima instructions were horrible, but I figured it out. That said, etrailer is great - I loved seeing who handled my order, quick delivery, great communication. I had to return one thing, and that was a breeze too. I highly recommend etrailer.com.
I initially ordered a Swagman adapter bar, but after waiting more than two months the item was still not in stock. I was offered the alternative Rhino-Rack, which was shipped immediately. I have not yet used the adapter bar, but it appears to be what I need.

I originally placed an order for the Thule frame adapter not realizing the item would not arrive until May, which is too late. I received the Rhino-Rack frame adapter bar and I'm very satisfied with the item. It works just as advertised and is extremely strong and holds my bikes (I bought two) securely. I highly recommend it for transporting bikes.
I received my bike rack and adapter bar within a couple of days after ordering. The instructions were simple and easy to understand. I installed the rack on my truck in just minutes.
We have a bike rack with trays, so bikes sit on it and arw racheted down instead of hanging. Our new bikes are Townie step-throughs so could not ratchet down. This appears to be perfect for us! And Adam at e-trailer was a great help!

My bike would not fit on inside rail as handle bar contacted RV. Outside rail worked very well. Trip from AZ to CO finished without incident even over significant bumps

Have been using the Thule Rhino Rack to transport my wife and grandchildrens bicycles over the past year and find product very easy to install and does just what it is intended to do very well. Keeps bikes stable and level while transporting. Good product. George E.
