Pivoting Cradles with Cushioned Straps

Saris Freedom Cuscino Cradle

The Freedom has cradles with ratchet straps that hold your bikes by the downtubes, top tubes, or seat posts. These cradles have a rubber lining that won't scratch or scuff your bike's paint. They also have grooves that accommodate brake lines and cables.

Saris Freedom Adjustable Cradles

The cradles pivot and slide up and down the central mast. This allows the rack to grab your bike's tube at the perfect angle. Twist knobs secure the cradles in place.

Adjustable Wheel Trays

Saris Freedom Wheel Holders

The wheel cradles slide to accommodate bikes with different wheelbases. Each cradle has a ratcheting strap so you can secure your bikes' wheels. Extra-long, ratcheting straps secure your bicycle's fat wheels to the trays. Standard cradles are also included so that you can carry 2 standard bikes, 1 standard bike and 1 fat bike, or 2 fat bikes.

Folding Mast

Saris Freedom 2 Folded

You can fold down the upright mast by pulling a lever at the base. This allows you to easily access your vehicle's rear cargo area, so you can leave the rack in your hitch without it interfering with your cargo hatch or backup camera. The compact design also lets you easily store the rack in your garage when it's not in use.

Easy Installation

Saris Freedom 2 Anti-Rattle Hitch Pin and Adapter Sleeve

It installs with a threaded hitch pin that helps prevent rattling around in your vehicle's hitch receiver. An anti-rattle hitch lock (SA3022 - sold separately) helps deter theft of the rack. You can also thread a cable lock (SA981 - sold separately) through the hole in the base of the rack and through your bike frames to secure your bikes to the rack.

Held up well over thousands of miles hauling bikes around full time rving. Almost impossible to get inner bike off without taking rack out of hitch. Wheel holders should be further from center bar as pedals have to be positioned a certain way to fit and still have rubbing issues.

by:

Bike rack is not long enough for my bikes but I just took it out of the box and found this out so I will take it to a fab shop to lengthen it up

by:

Everything looked good except one piece was damaged. I just got off the phone with Korren to report the damaged piece and she is sending a replacement part. Both products, bike rack and receiver hitch otherwise looked to be very well built. Your company and representatives, Loren and Korren were very nice to work with on my purchase. Thank you

Product just arrived. Before our ebikes so haven’t had a chance to use it yet. Very fast service to get it here. Product looks real good.

by:

Perfect fit for two Ebikes
Thanks!

by:

Center support doesn’t lock tight, flimsy center bar. It does not stay locked in upright position. The locking pin doesn’t work very good.

  • Bike Rack Bumper Clearance on a 2017 Toyota Prius Prime with the EcoHitch # 306-X7369
Thanks so much for your order! It looks like you purchased the EcoHitch Stealth Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - 2" # 306-X7369. With this particular hitch, we unfortunately do not have the measurements available for the distance of the center of the hitch pinhole to the outside face of the rear bumper of a 2017 model Toyota Prius Prime. With that being said, the Thule T2 Classic # TH9045 will most likely interfere with your rear bumper (when folded up). This is because the measurement...

  • What 2-Bike Hitch Rack do You Recommend for My 2 E-Bikes on My 2015 Hyundai Sonata?
For a great 2-bike electric bike rack for your 2015 Hyundai Sonata, I recommend the Saris Freedom Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Frame Mount # SA4412B or the fat-bike version # SA4412B-FB. The great thing is that the Freedom comes with a high 60-pound per-bike weight capacity and accommodates bikes with wheelbases up to 48 inches long. Another great benefit of the Freedom is that the bike clamps adjust anywhere along the central mast. This eliminates the need of a bike...

  • Can The Curt 2-Bike Platform Rack Hold A 60lb E-Bike And 45lb Mountain Bike
Hi Lynne, The Curt 2 Bike Platform Rack # C18085 would not be able to handle the weight of your 60lb e-bike. If you don't have fenders then you could switch to a wheel mount design. If you do have fenders then you'll just need to pick up a bar adapter # HRBA-PRO since you have a step-thru frame. Hitch classes will tell you the receiver tube opening size and typical capacity range. When it comes to certain bike racks, especially ones hauling heavy e-bikes, certain class requirements are...

  • Will the Yakima StageTwo Bike Rack Work for a Gazelle Medeo T10+ HMB E-Bike or What Rack Will
The Yakima StageTwo Bike Rack # Y67VR will not work with bikes that have fenders like your Gazelle Medeo. Per Yakima bikes with fenders will need the fenders removed for proper and safe loading. Since your Gazelle Medeo T10+ HMB is not a step-thru style, you are going to be better off with a frame mount style like the Saris Freedom Bike Rack # SA4412B. This rack has a 60 lb. per bike capacity which fits your Medeo. It also has wheel trays and straps to secure the wheels and a cradle to...

  • What Bike Rack do You Recommend for 2 60-Pound E-Bikes on My 2011 Toyota Prius Hatchback?
I have a great way to transport your 2 e-bikes that weigh about 60 pounds each. However, the Yakima FullBack 2 # Y02634 and all other trunk bike racks do not have the required weight capacity that you need to safely transport your bikes on your 2011 Toyota Prius hatchback. With that being said, exceeding the 35-pound weight capacity of the FullBack is extremely dangerous. For the doable route, I recommend using a hitch-mounted bike rack. A great rack that provides you with the capacity...

Yakima does make a square crossbar system for your bare roof 2005 Honda Element. I recommend the following parts: -Yakima HD Crossbars - Aluminum - Black - 60" Long # Y01157 -Towers # Y53TR -Adapters # Y03541 -Landing Pads # Y00229 As far as adding more racks to the setup, the only way to do it would be by attaching something like the SeaSucker Monkey Bars Roof Rack - Round Bars - Vacuum Cup Mount - 48" Long # 298-SX6000B to your roof as long as there is enough space either between,...

  • Do You Recommend Using the Kuat Transfer # KU64FR with My E-Bike with Fenders on My 2016 Mazda CX-5?
Here at etrailer, we do not recommend using a wheel-mount bike rack like the Kuat Transfer V2 Bike Rack for 1 Bike - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches # KU64FR for bikes with fenders. The reason why is because no matter where the hooks are attached, there is always the possibility that the hook can shift on the wheel and crack or damage the fenders. The racheting hook will not be able to attach to the front fork. With that being said, we do not carry any single-bike options that attach via frame....

  • Can Receiver Height be Raised on Stealth Hitches Trailer Hitch for 2019 Volvo V60 for Bike Rack
There isn't a way you can raise the receiver height or alter the positioning of any trailer hitch for your 2019 Volvo V60, including the Stealth Hitches Hidden Rack Receiver # SH47FR. The issue with this vehicle is that it's back end is low to the ground so I can understand your concern about ground contact, but it would have to be a very steep incline for the receiver itself to make contact. A bike rack would be more likely to make contact because it sticks out so the best thing you can...

Yes! The best and safest way to transport 1 or 2 50 pound e-bikes on your 2022 Hyundai Elantra is by using a hitch-mounted bike rack. If you need a hitch for your vehicle, the only hitch we carry that is confirmed to fit your Elantra is the Draw-Tite - 1-1/4" # DT75MR. It also installs with a concealed crosstube that gives your new vehicle a factory look without any...

But I have included a video that demonstrates how to operate the bike rack. Lectric Bikes is right on the money. My go-to recommendation is the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE, part # HLY84FR. The rack can handle 2 bikes weighing up to 80 lbs each with tires up to 5 inches in width.
