The Roadmaster BlackHawk 2 All Terrain, Non-Binding Tow Bar - Motorhome Mount - 2" Hitch - 10K # RM-422 only needs the quick connect crossbar when connecting to certain baseplates. For instance, if your 2014 Ford F-150 4x4 has baseplates # RM-524431-4 or # 495-1A then you will need that crossbar but if you have baseplates # 495-3A or # RM-524431-5 then you will not use it.
The baseplates will dictate if the Replacement Quick Disconnect Crossbar Assembly for Roadmaster Motorhome Mounted Tow Bars # 910021-00 is needed or not.
