If you want a towing setup that blends in when not in use, this kit makes it happen. The brackets mount discreetly to the frame and sit far back for a clean look. Once the drawbars are removed, the remaining pieces are virtually invisible and tucked safely within the grille—no bulky metal sticking out to bump your knees or spoil the factory style.
Getting ready to tow shouldn’t take all day. Each arm slides into the bracket, clicks into place, and locks with a simple twist. When it’s time to unhook, pull the built-in ring and twist again to release. The motion is smooth and repeatable, so you can connect or disconnect solo without wrestling with pins or alignment.
This base plate is computer-cut from all-steel for precise fitment and strength that holds up through long hauls. The black powder coat finish helps guard against rust and corrosion. It bolts directly to the frame using included hardware—no welding needed—so you get a sturdy installation that spreads towing forces evenly across the front end.
There’s no need to change your entire towing setup. The Direct-Connect design works with Roadmaster tow bars that slide into a trailer hitch—like the Nighthawk, Sterling, Blackhawk, Blackhawk 2, Falcon, or Falcon 2—without needing extra adapters. It won’t fit tow bars that require a hitch ball, so everything stays strong and streamlined.
If you handle your own installs, this kit plays nice with that approach. It comes with detailed instructions and mounting hardware so you can bolt everything up accurately with basic tools. The straightforward design makes it manageable in a home garage while still delivering a professional-grade result once it’s on the road.
Roadmaster direct-connect base plates will only work with Roadmaster tow bars that slide into a trailer hitch, such as the Nighthawk, Sterling, Blackhawk, Blackhawk 2, Falcon, or Falcon 2. These base plates will not work with tow bars that require a hitch ball.

I’ve pulled the Chevy behind our motor home several times over a the last year. It has worked excellent. And when not in tow the tubing is barely noticeable.

Which trim is your 2026 Chevy Trax? Per Roadmaster, the # RM25EQ (523228-5) fits all trims of the 2026 Trax except the ACTIV trim....
