In order to successfully flat tow your 2020 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk, you'll need a tow bar, base plates, safety cables, a wiring harness so the Jeep's taillights work in conjunction with those of the tow vehicle, a supplemental braking system and possibly a high/low adapter.

For a Towbar, you can't go wrong with the Roadmaster Falcon 2, part # RM-520. The Falcon 2 self aligns, which makes it easier to hook up to the tow vehicle, because both vehicles won't need to be perfectly aligned. For base plates, use # RM-521451-5 and # RM-643 for safety cables. For a wiring harness, one of our most popular choices is the Roadmaster Diode kit, part # RM-15267. The diode kit installation is pretty straightforward, as you can see in the install video I've linked for you. For a braking system, I really like the Roadmaster Invisibrake, part # RM-8700. The installation procedure can be seen by watching the provided video. A stoplamp switch kit, part # RM-751471 would also be needed. This system would be an excellent choice if you tend to hang onto your vehicles for several years. If you prefer to get a new vehicle frequently, you might be better off with a portable system like the Roadmaster Even Brake, part # RM-9400. The Even Brake can be easily moved from one vehicle to another. It would use the same stop lamp switch as mentioned above.

According to Roadmaster, if the Cherokee is equipped with the stock 245/65-17 tires, the base plate height would be at 20-1/4 inches. You'd want a high/low adapter that would put the tow bar within 3 inches of level. I'll link you to our slection of high/low adapters.
