Question:
I have a 2019 Jeep Cherokee Latitude which I flat tow with a Blue Ox package. I had a base plate fail and now do not want to have those replaced with Blue Ox. Do you have a roadmaster base plate which is compatible with a Blue Ox tow bar? We are currently at Mayport Naval Station, FL. Thank you!

Hey David, we do have what you are looking for with the Roadmaster Direct Connect kit part # RM-521452-5 which is a confirmed fit for your 2019 Jeep Cherokee Latitude and can be used with a Blue Ox tow bar with the correct adapter part # BX88185.
I attached a link to a page that has a way to find a local installer near. I am curious what happened to your Blue Ox base plate kit though?

Jameson, We have had the Blue Ox base plate on our Jeep for 4 years. The passenger side bracket failed and broke off while towing. Luckily, I was on a side street when our Jeep tried to pass us on the passenger side of the MH! No damage to Jeep, MH or other cars. In examining the bracket, it appears the weld was not good at all from the pin housing to the main base plate. In reviewing Google comments as well as the NHTSA website, there have been many other people who have had the same issues. I'm not a fan anymore of Blue Ox and now want a stronger base plate like Roadmaster offers. I did file a complaint with NHTSA and Blue Ox as well. Thanks for the follow up!
