  • Flat Towing Base Plate Fits for 1992 Jeep Wrangler with Tube Bumper
All flat towing base plates for a 1992 Jeep Wrangler are shown on the linked page. These base plates will be bumper-specific fits. The drop-down menu tool allows selecting your front bumper. We do NOT have a fit for a double tube bumper like what is shown in the linked photo on the red Jeep. We DO have one for a u-channel bumper as shown in the other photo, part # 1409-1.

  • Will Roadmaster StowMaster Tow Bar Work On 1995 Jeep YJ with D-Ring Adapters
In order to use the Roadmaster StowMaster Tow Bar part # RM-501 on a 1995 Jeep YJ you'll need a base plate kit, the Roadmaster Crossbar-Style Base Plate Kit part # 1409-3 or part # 1409-1. The Adapter for Jeep D-Ring Bumper Mounts like part # RM-035-1 work work as it's for motorhome mounted tow bars only and the Roadmaster StowMaster is a vehicle mounted tow bar. In regards to determining whether or not the d-rings are used for towing, the final say so will come from the manufacturer.

  • Parts Needed To Flat Tow 1987 Jeep Wrangler YJ
Yes, we have all the parts needed to safely and legally flat tow your 1987 Jeep Wrangler YJ with manual transmission. First you need a base plate kit for your Jeep with a standard factory bumper (If you have the Off-Road Bumper with 1” D-Ringer Bumper Mounts, or Off-Road Bumper with 3/4” D-Ring Bumper Mounts, or Rugged Ridge XHD Bumper, just email me back for a updated recommendation.) The Roadmaster 1409-1 Crossbar-Style would be a good choice, but keep in mind this technical note:...

  • Parts Needed to Flat Tow 1995 Jeep Wrangler Behind Motorhome
In order to flat tow your 1995 Jeep Wrangler behind your motorhome, you will need a base plate kit, a tow bar, safety cables, a lighting solution, and a supplemental braking system. If your Jeep Wrangler has the U-channel bumper, I recommend the Roadmaster Classic Base Plate Kit # 1409-1. If you have a different style bumper, please let me know and I will make a different recommendation. These will attach to the Jeep's frame to provide fixed attachment points for a tow bar. This is a...

  • Parts Needed To Flat-Tow 1995 Jeep Wrangler
When flat-towing, there are 5 things that are needed. For your 1995 Jeep Wrangler, the RoadMaster Tracker Tow Bar , part # RM-020, is one part of the system, and will work well for you. The base plates I recommend are the Roadmaster Base Plates, part # 1409-1. These brackets have a fixed-bar design and will work well with the Tracker tow bar. I then recommend the RoadMaster Coiled, Safety Chains, part # RM-643. These vinyl-coated cables have a quick link on one end and a spring hook on...

  • Tow Bar Recommendation for Flat Towing 1995 Jeep Wrangler YJ at Highways Speeds with Ford F-150
The Tow Ready Adjustable Tow Bar 63180 does have a speed limitation of 45 miles per hour, but this is the only tow bar we offer with a limit on driving speed. A great option for a tow bar that does not have a speed limit and will work well for you is the Roadmaster Falcon 2 Tow Bar # RM-520. I recommend the Falcon 2 tow bar because it is a popular tow bar from a high quality manufacturer that is a leader in the flat towing industry. The Falcon 2 is a hitch-mounted tow bar that will store...

  • Will Flat Towing a 1987 Jeep Wrangler w/ Non-Factory Bumper Require Base Plates
Whether your Jeep Wrangler can be flat towed as it's currently configured will depend on the aftermarket bumper installed on it. If the bumper on your Jeep is rated for towing (not all of them are), and the tab the D-ring towing shackle is mounted to is 3/4 or 1 inch thick (see photo), Roadmaster offers D-Ring adapters that would allow certain Roadmaster tow bars to attach to your bumper. If the tab is 3/4 inches thick, use # RM-035 or # RM-035-1 for a 1 inch thick tab. These adapters...

  • How to Use the Roadmaster Falcon 2 Tow Bar Part # RM-520 on a 1987 Jeep Wrangler
I do have a way for you to use the Roadmaster Falcon 2 Tow Bar part # RM-520 on your 1987 Jeep Wrangler but it will not use the same attachment points as your Reese Tow Bar part 74943. Instead, you will need to use a base plate kit specific to both your vehicle and the tow bar. For this, I recommend using the Roadmaster Classic Base Plate Kit part # 1409-1. The Roadmaster Classic Base Plate Kit is an excellent option for you. It is compatible with all Roadmaster tow bars, has a black powder...

  • Ways to Flat Tow a 1993 Jeep Wrangler with Aftermarket Front Bumper
We currently have two d-ring bumper adapters which are the Adapter for Jeep D-Ring Bumper Mounts part # RM-035 for 3/4" thick or part # RM-035-1 for 1" thick. These adapters are for factory bumpers with d-rings that are suited for flat towing. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend you modify the bumper or these adapters in any way as this would void the manufacturer's warranty and pose a significant safety risk. I would also make sure that the d-rings on the front of your aftermarket bumper...

  • How Can Roadmaster Crossbar 910021-00 Be Installed On 1988 Jeep YJ?
The Replacement Crossbar # 910021-00 you were looking at would get installed on your 1988 Jeep YJ via the Roadmaster Crossbar-Style Base Plate Kit # 1409-1. The # 1409-1 will only work with the factory steel bumper, so if you have a different bumper you cannot use the crossbar. • Tow Bar Light Kit Recommendation for a 1988 Jeep Wrangler
For tow bar lighting for your 1988 Jeep Wrangler you can use the bulb and socket kit, # RM-155, and not have to worry about cutting and splicing into the vehicle wiring. You will also want the # BX88206 to connect this lighting solution to your tow vehicle. This comes with a round 6-way connector that you will install on the front of your towed vehicle and enough coiled wire to go from there to the RV.

  • Base Plate Fit on 1988 Jeep YJ With Factory Bumper
The reason we do not have those base plates as a fit for a 1988 Jeep YJ with a factory bumper is simply due to the fact the manufacturer does not list that vehicle as a fit for these base plates.
