BOLT (Breakthrough One-key Lock Technology) has solved that problem by designing a line of locks that can operate with a key you already have handy - your vehicle ignition key.
When you insert your own key into the cylinder, spring-loaded plate tumblers move up and down until they are matched exactly to that key. The first time the key is rotated, the cylinder is uniquely coded to that key. When the key is removed, the cylinder moves into the locked position. When the key is turned again, it will rotate to the unlocked position.
BOLT is particularly useful in commercial applications. Imagine being able to send a crew without having to sign out multiple keys for a work truck, trailer, hitch pins, and equipment locks. With BOLT, the vehicle key becomes a master key. It opens all those locks and you no longer have the hassle of getting to a work site only to find that you've brought the wrong keys.

Best Bang for the Buck!
It's hard finding things for the bigger trucks, everything is geared towards the 1/2 ton vehicles. I searched several local stores for the Bolt hitch lock but could only find them for the smaller trucks. Nice to see someone stocks things for the other sizes.

So far so good, a little confusion with the gal I spoke with as far as center cut and side cute keys. The lock and pin did conform to my key, now just a matter of time for longevity.
This seems like a fine product. It was seemless fitting my key to the lock. Keep in mind that if you plan on using in different vehicles you might need to keep the key 'issue' in mind. I like having spare keys with me and I'll need to make more spares to use in my several different vehicles.

It was good until someone was able to defeat it and made off with my BW hitch.I think someone found a way to use a slide hammer to pull the core and disable it.
I ordered a new BW hitch but thinking about the reorder of the Bolt. Thief's are getting smarter everyday.Before this someone stole my tails on my F150. $5100. later I have lights.

Worked perfectly on my 25 F150. Nice to be able to use my my truck key for the lock
I like that I'm able to use my vehicle key, one less key to carry. The build quality looks good and setup was a breeze. I bought another one to use as an anti thief when my shank is on the trailer while the other is on my truck. I also bought the BOLT hitch lock, one key for three locks.
I have two of these. They both work great. I like that they are keyed to match my truck. Fairly easy to lock/unlock. Haven’t had any problems with jams or getting the key to turn.

Used this bolt multiple times. Very smooth key action. Super rugged. No rust as youd find with cheap materials. Rubber key cover is heavy duty as well.
