The flush design keeps the crossbars tight to the roofline, giving your setup a sleek, from-the-factory style. Nothing extends past the feet, so the rack looks integrated and low profile. With this Thule WingBar Edge system, you get a clean fit that blends in rather than stands out.
Driving with crossbars can create wind noise that gets old fast. These aluminum aero-style bars are shaped to keep airflow smooth, and the split rubber strips in the top channels help reduce wind noise and vibration while you drive. The design keeps things quieter and more comfortable on long trips or daily drives.
Whether it’s kayaks in the summer or skis in the winter, this rack handles it all. The aero-style crossbars work with accessories that mount in the top channels or clamp around the bars. You can carry bikes, watersport gear, snow carriers, or rooftop cargo boxes without needing different setups for each type of trip.
Some racks make you cut rubber strips to fit accessories into the top channel. This one doesn’t. The split strip design lets you slide your mounts right into place without trimming. When you’re done, the strips close back up to help seal against airflow and weather while keeping installation simple and hassle-free.
You can upgrade the security of your setup with Thule One-Key System locks (sold separately). They secure both the rack and any channel-mounted gear using a single key, helping protect your equipment when parked at trailheads or on overnight stops during long road trips.

I agree with you that the rack should include the keys however Thule only offers the one lock system separately as part # TH450400 for a 4 pack. They do it this way so that if you have other Thule accessories like a Thule kayak or bike carrier then you can have the option of ordering enough keys to swap them all out to key them the same. For example you can also buy a six part part # TH450600 or an eight pack like part # TH450800.
