Hello Darryl,

Thanks for writing in!

Based on your order history, it looks like you have a Blue Ox preference. Since you didn't mention having the hybrid model, the Blue Ox 4-Diode Universal Tail Light Wiring Kit # BX8848 will be a great fit for your 2026 Ford F-150 King Ranch. This will allow the lights on your F-150 to work with the signals from your motorhome while you're flat towing. If you need a new 6-way socket at the front of the truck to wire everything into, you can add the Blue Ox 6-Pole Round Pin Trailer Wiring Socket # BLU43XR (if you need a new 7 way to 6 way from RV to towed vehicle # BX88206).

If you're putting together the rest of the flat tow setup, you can keep it Blue Ox with the Blue Ox Base Plate Kit # BLU33FR and the Blue Ox Avail Non-Binding Tow Bar # BX7420. The Avail has a 10,000 lb capacity, and the non-binding design makes disconnecting a whole lot easier when the truck and motorhome aren't perfectly lined up.

For your supplemental braking system, the Blue Ox Patriot # BLU37TR is a great option. It's a portable proportional system, so you don't have to permanently install the main braking unit in the F-150.

One thing you'll want to check is whether the F-150's brake lights work with the ignition in the "tow" position. If the brake lights do not work in the tow position, you'll also need the Roadmaster Universal Stop Light Switch Kit # RM-751000 to provide the brake signal needed for the supplemental braking system.

You'll also want to follow the recreational towing procedure in your 2026 F-150 owner's manual exactly when getting the truck ready to tow.

Sounds like this isn't your first flat tow setup! What motorhome are you going to be pulling the King Ranch behind and where are you going for the first trip?

This kit did not work on my 2025 ranger raptor. This vehicle uses one wire that the body control computer controls the voltage for tail lights and breaking leds. The turn signals are a separate wire.I had to purchase the Roadmaster smart led kit.

@Chris Hey there Chris, sorry it did not work on your Raptor, you are correct that the Raptor does require the smart diodes as the wiring is different. The F-150 on the other hand doesn't have the more sensitive wiring and is recommended to use the universal. I definitely appreciate your call out though =)
