Specs:
This adjustable ball mount has a maximum capacity of 22,000 lbs, making it ideal for heavy-duty towing. The solid steel construction is strong enough to handle large trailers and heavy cargo, and the matte powder coat finish will protect the ball mount from rust and corrosion, even after repeated use. The BulletProof Hitches adjustable ball mount gives you the strength you need to tow your big loads. And its durable, long-lasting construction can stand the test of time.
Because of its sturdy steel construction, this BulletProof Hitches adjustable ball mount can handle loads up to 22,000 lbs, making it perfect for heavy-duty towing jobs.
The adjustable channel is made of 5/16" thick, laser-cut steel plates. These steel plates can handle high capacities without bending. And because of the laser cutting, the channel plates have consistently sized pin holes, so you can easily remove or reposition the hitch ball platform.
A 1/2" thick steel gusset is welded between the shank and the channel, bracing the mount and keeping the channel from bending, even at the maximum drop or rise.
The solid steel shank is CNC -chamfered, making it easy to slide the shank into and out of your hitch receiver. And with no sharp edges on the shank, the powder coating is less likely to chip and peel.
Each adjustable mount includes a 2-ball platform, which fits in the adjustable channel. The 2 hitch balls are welded onto the solid steel platform for maximum strength and stability.
Finally, the pins and clips included with the ball mount are made of heat-treated steel to withstand the heavy weight from your load. The nickel undercoat with zinc topcoat provides corrosion resistance and ensures the strength of the pin.
To set up this BulletProof Hitches adjustable ball mount, insert the 2-1/2" x 2-1/2" shank into your hitch's receiver. Slide the 2-ball platform into the adjustable channel, then use the included pins and clips to secure the platform at the height you need. If you need to switch hitch balls, just remove the pins and clips, flip the ball platform over, and reinsert the pins and clips to secure the balls in place. It's that easy.
Because of this mount's significant drop, it's recommended that you install a stabilizer kit (358stabilizerbars - sold separately) to prevent any wobbling and to remove strain from your hitch receiver.
This BulletProof Hitches adjustable ball mount is compatible with a wide variety of accessories (sold separately). Instead of using the included ball to tow, you can install a weight distribution shank (358WEIGHTDIST) in the channel of the mount to attach your weight distribution system. Add a clevis (358CLEVIS) or shackle attachment (358EDSA) for off-road or recovery operations. Or simply add a hitch step (358STEP) to easily access your truck bed.

Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at the BulletProof Hitches Heavy-Duty Adjustable 2-Ball Mount for a 2 1/2 inch hitch with the drop and rise, and it has a 22,000 pound gross towing weight capacity. Now, this 2-ball mount will slide into your 2 1/2 inch hitch receiver, and it'll let you hook up your trailer to your tow vehicle. Up front here, you can see it has two different hitch balls that provide the connection points for your trailer coupler, and those two different sizes are, right here, is the larger 2 5/16 diameter, if you flip it over, you can do a two inch diameter ball. This will let you tow trailers with different coupler sizes, and to switch the balls, you just simply remove the two pins and clips, flip the ball platform, and then reinsert the pins, pretty simple to do. Just to show you here, we're gonna pop out the clips, and then with the clips out, we'll just slide out the bottom pin, and I also wanna mention the pins here, it does give you two 5/8 inch diameter corrosion resistant hardened steel pins, they do feature a nice nickel under coat and then a zinc plating top coat for best corrosion resistance.
So as we get that one out, we'll go ahead and pick the other one out, and that releases the ball mount, and you can see with the ball mount removed, you can just flip it over, and again, you can put it in whatever height you need for your application. We're just gonna flip it over, and I'm gonna actually probably put it right back in the same location. So we'll get our pin, line that up, line that up, and now you can see the two inch ball is ready to be used. Let me go ahead and clip the pins in place. And once they're all clip in place just like that, now you're all ready to tow with the two inch ball, so it's pretty quick and easy just to flip it over to whatever ball size you need.
Now, the adjustable design of this we mentioned, provides a nice drop or rise, so it allows you to tow trailers of different heights with the same vehicle. This will work well if you're a contractor or you might have one truck and you wanna use that one truck for different size trailers. Now, the different rise and drop you'll get with this one here, if you install it this way, it's in the drop position, if we put our ball platform at the lowest position, it'll get you a maximum drop of about 13 1/4 inches. If you flip this over in your hitch receiver into the rise position and then put this ball platform in the highest position, it'll get you a maximum rise of about 13 inches, so it does give you seven levels of adjustment. The measurement between these adjustment holes, center to center, is two inches.
So you just can move your ball platform lower or raise it higher to match your application. Now, this is a nice heavy-duty steel construction, they do use precision CNC milling and drilling on this, and because of that, it'll give you less rattle, because of the close tolerance. Now, the channel frame right up here, it is a 5/16 thick channel frame, it's very strong and durable. You can see right down here, they use a half inch thick welded gusset plate, this will brace the shank and the channel. And the hitch balls right here, they are welded to the ball platform for extra sturdiness.
So because of that solid shank, the gusset plate, the solid dual ball platform, this is built for heavy-duty towing. That steel gusset you can see is welded between the shank and the channel, and it'll brace the mount and keep the channel from bending even at maximum drop or rise. Total weight on this whole ball mount is about 54 pounds. Now, couple of measurement I wanna give you, you wanna check for clearances when you install this in your hitch receiver, and this gusset does come out a little bit, so I wanna give you the measurement from the gusset portion right here to the center of the first ball hole, that's gonna be about 3 1/2 inches, from the gusset to the second ball hole, hitch pin hole, is five inches. Now, this ball mount does have many different dimensions to it, so I do recommend for you to go to the product page of this part number to verify any dimension that you might need for your application. They do have a picture of this on there with all the dimensions put on it. This part is made in the USA, it uses USA steel, and this product is used by the US military, so it does give you a nice peace of mind that the product uses quality materials. The hitch has a nice powder coat, textured heavy-duty black finish to it, and that heavy-duty finish keeps your ball mount looking like new instead of all worn and rusty after a short time. Now, when you do insert into your hitch receiver, it will require hitch pin and clip or a hitch lock for securing it, those items are not included, you would have to supply those, or we do sell those separately on our website. Application, again, this fits a 2 1/2 inch by 2 1/2 inch trailer hitch receiver. This ball mount is ideal for vehicles with a 28 inch to 30 inch clearance from the ground to the bottom of your receiver tube. Now, the gross towing weight capacity on this when it's used with the smaller two inch ball, it's gonna give you 12,000 pounds capacity, if you flip it over and use the larger 2 5/16 standard ball, gives you 22,000 pounds. Tongue weight capacity on it will be 3,000 pounds. And the last thing I do wanna mention is there is a variety of attachments that'll fit in this channel that are available to allow you to use this with a pintle hitch, a shackle hitch, and a hitch step, and if you go to this product page, we'll list those as related products on this page. But that should do it for the review on this BulletProof Hitches Heavy-Duty Adjustable 2-Ball Mount for a 2 1/2 inch hitch with a drop and a rise and a 22,000 pound gross towing weight capacity..
