When you’re towing heavy—like full-size campers or loaded equipment trailers—you need gear that can take it. This mount handles up to 30,000 lbs with the 2-5/16" ball and 12,000 lbs with the 2" ball, backed by a maximum tongue weight of 6,000 lbs. The solid steel shank and welded gusset plate give it the muscle to stay steady mile after mile, even under serious load.

Different trailers sit at different heights, but there’s no need to keep swapping mounts. The adjustable channel gives you seven mounting positions for quick height changes, from a 13-1/4" drop to a 13-1/2" rise. Just move the ball platform with the included pins and clips, lock it in place, and your trailer sits level and stable every time.

This mount isn’t hollow or flimsy—it’s built from 5/16" thick laser-cut steel plates and a 1/2" thick welded gusset plate that braces the channel. The two hitch balls are welded directly to the solid steel platform for extra strength, so there’s no looseness or flex when you’re hauling heavy loads. It’s the kind of setup that feels tight and secure right down to the last turn.

Rain, road salt, and grime can eat away at towing gear fast. The matte black powder coat finish keeps rust at bay while maintaining that clean, solid look after repeated use. Even the heat-treated pins are built tough—the nickel undercoat with zinc topcoat resists corrosion so your connection points stay reliable season after season.

Switching between trailers or setups takes only a minute. Slide the platform where you need it, secure it with the pins, and you’re set to tow. And if you’re gearing up for a specific job, this mount works with accessories like a weight distribution shank, clevis, shackle attachment, or hitch step (sold separately), keeping your setup flexible for whatever you’re hauling next.

Hi I'm Matt with etrailer. Today we're talking about the BulletProof Hitches 2-Ball Mount. The reason a lot of people invest in a ball mount system that has a rise or drop to it is so they can accommodate the trailers they are pulling because you want everything to be lined up. So to do that, this rise and drop allows you to lower or raise that ball mount. There are several rise and drop options for these extreme duty trailer ball mounts. You'll just want to go with the one that's gonna be the best fit for your truck and trailer combination.
Get the most level towing experience. Whether you choose to go with the one we have today or the one with the higher rise and drop, they both are gonna function the exact same way. So let's take a closer look at it. Starting with the balls up top, we're gonna have this 2-5/16th inch ball. That's gonna be capable of carrying up to 30,000 pounds, and the one on the bottom is gonna be a two inch ball capable of carrying up to 12,000 pounds.
They're both gonna have the same tongue weight though, and that's gonna be at 6,000 pounds. The system's also gonna include two pins and some safety clips on them, and they're gonna secure down this ball mount to the housing. (metal rattles) Now there is a little bit of rattling we still get from this, but I wouldn't worry about too much because we do have both these pins, which do feel pretty sturdy (pink clank) and they do a really good job holding this into place, especially getting the back in and secured. I'm not really struggling any, especially since we do have this thicker powder coat, which is kind of rough. It is pretty easy to use still.
Now you're only gonna get two of these pins, so you'll have to invest in getting a pin in clip for the hitch pin. What I actually recommend is investing in a locking system too, so no one can come by and take this right off. The system is gonna be constructed from a heat treated steel, so what that means is it's gonna be able to withstand really heavy weights, like I said earlier, up to 30,000 pounds. Now just make sure you know that your vehicle is rated to tow that amount of weight, and then we're gonna have this black powder coat finish to it, which is gonna help it be more rust resistant. But keep in mind, if you're constantly using this a lot, this does have the likelihood to scratch up some.
So if that finish comes off in any place, it is gonna raise a likelihood of rusting in those spots. You'll probably also notice when I've been kind of handling this, we do have a little bit of rattle back here (bar rattles) and that might not be a big thing for you if you're towing, but if you have this in the back of your vehicle just for the time being and nothing's on here, you might not be a big fan of that. So what I just recommend is just investing in an anti-rattle device to put on here so you don't have to deal with that. Now, if you want to save on some space, if this is sticking out just a little bit too long for you, you actually can put this in a different position by just removing this pin (pin clanks) and just push it in some and line it up with that second hole. Then this is gonna save you a little bit of space. (metal clanks) If you want, you can flip it around, do this like this, and then you're gonna get variations when you have it in the rise (metal clanks) just like that. Overall, I think it's gonna be a great system for anyone who plans on towing a lot of different size trailers, especially with how adjustable this is and how easy it is to maneuver and especially how well this is constructed. It's something that's gonna last you a long time because especially since it does have a nickel undercoat and a zinc top coat, that's also gonna assist with being corrosion resistant and adding additional strength to the entire system. This is just a look at some of the features of the BulletProof Hitches 2-Ball Mount. Thanks for stopping by.

It has worked out great. I have used it extensively on 5 different trailers with our 6 lifted truck. Not only has it been extremely versatile but overloaded tongue weights as well.

This is not common as the hitch is covered with a high quality powder coat. If you ever get any paint chips or scratches on this ball mount, we recommend using a rust-oleum type of paint to cover those scratches. That will help with any corrosion as time goes on. I have a link for your reference below.

Solid piece. Still think 2.5 ball rating is a little lower than other products. But nice hitch. Stayed in all winter and paint is still holding up.
