Question:

I just received my Bulletproof 2 1/2 12inch hitch 2 ball 2inch and 2 5/16. When the balls are are mounted in the hitch with the 2inch set for a 12inch drop the 2 5/16inch ball is only 6inch from the ground. In looking on the internet where we know everything is gospel 6inch was listed as the acceptable minimum. Is this okay ? If the 2 5/16inch in was not there I would have 8inch of clearance from the hitch to the ground. Do I need a single ball and the 8inch clearance? .And if so does Bulletproof offer a single 2inch ball for this hitch?

If the lowest setting has the bottom of your BulletProof Adjustable 2-Ball Mount item # HD2512 only 6 inches from the ground you may need to check the height of your trailer's coupler. If 6 inches is the position of the BulletProof ball mount on flat ground than I would be concerned that you have too big of a drop and you are going to be bottoming out quite a bit. Bulletproof does not offer a Replacement 2-Ball Platform item # 358REPLACEMENTBALL with only a single ball.

If you find out that you have too much of a drop I recommend the BulletProof Hitches Adjustable 2-Ball Mount item # HD206. This is an identical ball mount to the one you currently have with the exception that it has half of the drop at 6 inches.
