Speaker 1: Today we're taking a look at a Curt 1 7/8 inch ATV Hitch Ball. This hitch ball provides a connection point for your trailer's coupler. It's made from high-strength, hot-forged steel construction. It is rust and corrosion resistant with a chrome plated finish. It's tested for safety to meet US VESC V-5 specifications. It does come with your nut and lock washer.
It also comes with a tag on the unit for instructions to indicate the proper torque rating, so don't discard that until after you get the unit installed. The ball diameter is 1 7/8 inches. Shank dimensions, that's this portion right here, the threaded portion, that's 5/8 inch diameter. From the bottom of the ball platform to the end of the threads is about 1 3/4 inches long. It has a weight capacity of 2000 pounds, and it's designed to fit ball mount platforms that are at least 3/8 inch thick.
Also, on the sides right here, we have wrench flats which makes it a lot easier when installing so you can place a wrench on here, hold it in place as you torque the nut.
