Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at the Bulletproof Hitches one and seven eighths inch diameter chrome hitch ball. Has an 8,000 pound gross towing weight capacity. Now this hitch ball provides a connection point for your trailer's coupler. As we mentioned, a diameter on this one is one and seven eighths of an inch. And the dimensions on the shank, if we measure the length, shank is gonna be right at two inches, the diameter right at one inch.
And if you notice, the thread on the shank is fine thread so it provides exceptionally tight, strong grip. It is a solid steel ball, has a nice chrome plated finish, which is corrosion resistant. And if you look on the side, you'll see the flat section here and flat here. These are built in wrench flats, make it easy to hold the ball in place while you're torquing the nut. If you notice, it does include the lock washer and the mounting nut and the weight capacity on this is 8,000 pounds, so when you go install this, you just drop the shank through the hole in the ball mount.
Take your lock washer, put it up there, put your lock nut on or your mounting nut, and torque it down to the correct spec for this size ball. But that should do it for the review on the Bulletproof Hitches one and seven eighths inch chrome hitch ball.

Looks like very good merchandise, built well I would recommend to anyone.
Your team did well, the only less than stellar performance is USPS. Nothing really surprising from them. Part was/is exactly as advertised. Thank you !!!
I wish it had a weight rating and brand name stamped on it somewhere.
It’s a really nice hitch ball. It’s got about 3/4” rise compared to most. I was looking for a 1” rise…. This will be close enough I think.
Every part fit perfectly! I needed the ball attachment and related hardware for a Blue Ox drop receiver I already had. These guys are really experts!
Product was great and shipping was fast. OTOH, Documentation such as rise (it is 3/4 inch) and torque setting (it is 250 ft-pounds) was non-existent....
Needed 2inch hitch with 2&5/16 ball. Most 2” hitch’s have 1” hole and this ball had the 1” shank. Worked well since not on highway with max load.
My only dissapointment with this trailer ball is why the heck it doesnt state on it that it is rated at 14 thousand pounds. All it says is its a 2-5/16 ball. If a few years from now its rolling around in my tool box or garage how do I know what its rated at?????????
The product on its own merit, probably deserves 5 stars. However, when I opened the package and saw "MADE IN CHINA" I was greatly disappointed! I went back to the ad listing, and unless it was printed in some obscure location, I didn't see it said that it was made in China. For the last couple of years, my wife and I go out of our way to buy only American. I worked in the automotive service industry for over 50 years, so I'm well aware that company's source items from all over the world. I really wish companies that sell in America, would at the very least, put a "Made in America" logo on American made products, so the buying public can make knowledgeable buying decision. I am willing to pay more for American made products because I want my fellow Americans to make a decent living at a fair wage.
This is a unicorn... A 1-7/8 hitch ball rated for 8K. One thing, unless most hitch balls the weight limit is not etched into the ball.
Product is of high quality
