What's up everybody, Adam here with the trailer. Today,we have a 2012 Chevrolet Silverado, and we're gonna be taking a look at the WeatherTech, rear custom fit Mudflaps. Mudflaps are gonna be a necessity in my opinion, just because it's gonna prolong the life of this back little panel. It's just gonna prevent it from getting a bunch of mud and rock chips and stuff. And this does tend to kind of rust out on any type of truck. So kind of protecting that, it's gonna be nice.
But it also, if you're hauling stuff, we're not gonna be throwing rocks and stuff back at whatever we're hauling. So it's gonna keep everything back there safe as well. This is gonna be a custom fit, as you can see, it is literally perfect. It completely contours to the edging of our rear quarter panel here, and that's something I really like. It has a nice clean look and it does have this little bow right down here, which is a little bit different than the Husky liners.
I would definitely compare these to the Huskies. I think they all do the same exact job there. Isn't really a whole lot of difference when it comes to the finish. They're all made of thermal plastic resin. So they're gonna be extra strong.
They're gonna be impact resistant. But one of the main things on the mounting side of it is this is gonna be a little bit easier than the Huskies. So with the Huskies, you're just gonna have to reuse the hardware. But with these, it has stainless steel, little quick turn knobs, which gets it installed in a matter of seconds. So that is one thing that is a little bit better with the WeatherTech is just on the back.
We are gonna have a little bit easier installation process, but at the end of the day, we're all gonna do the same exact thing. And it all just kinda comes down to if you want the really quick install, go for this. And if you don't really care, you can just go with the Huskies. I like the Huskies just because it's more of a flat face, but that isn't really a major, major difference. They're all pretty much the same thing. We want to go ahead and clean off the area where the mud flats gonna go. So let's take whatever kind of cleaning stuff you want and sprayer down. I just wonna make sure it's nice and clean microfiber towel would be best. The shop towel will do, wannna to make sure it's nice and clean and let it dry. So we are gonna have to, put a little sticker on here. it comes with the kit, which is nice because it does tend to kind of eat away back there. So we have one for the right side, one for the left side and basically is put it right right here. So it'd be kind of like this, but of course, this is two pieces. We already have one on here and these aren't staying on here, so we're not gonna do it, but we're just gonna go through the install just to show you what's going on. So now once that's all done, it's pretty simple actually. we're gonna have one little tool. It's gonna kind of put it up into place. This tool, basically on the back side. We're kind of locked into this little ridger right here. So that's basically all that's happening. I do like this just because you don't need a hardware or anything like that, just slips right in. So once we get it lined up, kind of push in and rotate it over and it stay there and do the same thing for the bottom here as well. So now we can just repeat that same exact process for the other side, and that's basically it for the install. And that'll do it for our look at the WeatherTech custom fit rear mudflaps on our 2012 Chevrolet Silverado..
Great
