I have had this about a year now on a 2021 F250 along with the air bags. The air bags do a great job of leveling the truck - low beams are back down where they need to be, breaks work better, steering it much better. The air compressor is connected to my upfitter switch via the engine compartment wiring. I have the two memory settings for 7 psi and 50 psi. There are some subtle tricks to get the wiring from engine to rear but it came out nice. I mounted the compressor between my spare tire and bed to decrease the water and dirt. I have a very small leak when I am at 50+ psi and gooseneck is loaded but it seems to hold it well - just gives me an alert so that I know it. I would buy this again in a heart beat.

It’s been great to have this system. I no longer get flashed for high headlights.

It was great at first but now I can’t even talk to it via iPhone and constantly have to stop and fill it slightly with air at gas stations. Need to find out what’s wrong with it.

by:

I am satisfied with them. My only concern is at low pressures, the air bags do not hold air. When empty and have pressure at 7-8 psi, everytime I start the vehicle it needs to pump them back up. At higher pressure, they hold pressure.

by:

While the Firestone airbags are great, this Air Command system sucks. I wanted a system with a remote, but I couldn't find one in stock. The smartphone app is the problem. It isn't reliable and I frequently have to reboot my phone to get it to connect.

The first 8 months I struggled with the Android app. 4 months ago I switched to an iPhone and downloaded the app - No issues.

by:

Everything fit and worked perfectly

by:

Product was easy to install with little to no difficulty. Purchase was smooth and the actual price compared to the rest of the competitors on the market was very fair. Shipping of the product was fairly quick with no issues. Kit was complete and in order. Only suggestion I would have to make this product better and more DIY orientated is to include a simple multi piece universal mounting bracket for securely mounting the unit on the frame of the vehicle. Overall I am completely satisfied and would definitely recommend this to others.

by:

System is relatively easy to install, but the tubing and fittings tend to leak. Otherwise no issue with the pump or app.

There are a couple of things you can do that can help with the leaks. One would be to double check connections and make sure things are properly installed and another is making sure your lines are squarely cut. Part # AL10530 is a great tool that can help ensure you get that clean ninety degrees which helps get a better fit when attaching the lines.

by:

Great system! Works like a charm. Really like not having to route tubing and woring into the cab and installing gages.

by:

Super-fast shipping and great communication from etrailer, as always. Straightforward install if you're okay with this type of work. So far seems to work as advertised. The iPhone app can be slow to link to the ECU at times, and occasionally crashes, hopefully that will be fixed in an update.

Overall, satisfied. But a few long-term issues: App is still buggy, there have been updates but it still crashes on occasion. Also, leaks are harder to track down than on standard airbags.

by:

The Ride-Rites have worked great on my 2021 Chevy Silverado 1500 3.0L Duramax. I use them when pulling my steel 17' flatbed with a tractor on board, with no sag at all running 35lbs of pressure. My only complaint is that the android app is a bit wonky sometimes and doesn't want to connect to the compressor. Other than that occasional annoyance, I would definitely recommend them.

by:

works awesome, hooked up to upfitter switch in Ford F350 and set pressure on smart phone, easy install

by:

All works as planned. Etrailer installed and confident they help with the ride pulling our 5th wheel.

by:

Works great, and install took some time (3 hours tops) but not complicated. I am glad I got this and saved 1500$ doing it my self.

by:

The video on the web page was more helpful than the directions. Important to get the wiring harness needs to be installed first so you can find a home for the compressor and ECU.
Worked the first time no leaks!

by:

Works great. I have a camper so around 3k lbs and run 90lbs in the bags. In the heat of the summer and on a long road trip, the compressor worked as advertised.

by:

Purchased this compressor and the Firestone heavy duty airbags for my 2500hd. It was a gamechanger towing our 13000 lb 5th wheel. It made the ride much more comfortable and stopped the truck from squatting.

by:

After a year of use I am still very impressed with the reliability and functionality of these bags. The Bluetooth compatibility of the compressor unit which allows the user to increase or decrease pressure via the phone app is great, no wiring to run into the cab, or mounting a control head under the dashboard is fantastic. Run these at 10psi for everyday driving with no noticeable change in the ride of the truck. I only have to air them up to 40psi to stiffen the suspension perfectly when towing my 34’ travel trailer. Would recommend this product within it hesitation!

5/27/2021

Love the Bluetooth phone app for this compressor. No wires or air tubes to run into and mount in the cab. The ability to change the air pressure on demand is awesome. Can lower the pressure back to 10psi for normal ride after ping our fifth wheel trailer, then air them back up to 55psi when hooking up and getting ready to road out. Would highly recommend purchasers consider this setup when evaluating their needs.

by:

Installed as adjunct to the airspring kit previously reviewed. Without actually using this for a while, I cannot speak to the longevity of the system, but initial my impression is that this should be durable. Deciding where and how to route the various components is the critical part, the actual installation is relatively easy. A few additional 'bits' in the hardware package would be appreciated, as dropped screws and nuts vanish when fumbled during assembly.

How many stars (1-5, 5 being Excellent) would you give the product: 4 ½ on both items

Product Review: Installed the Firestone Air Command Compressor system and Firestone Ride-Rite helper rear Air Bags on my 2020 F-250 Super Duty (Lariat Sport Edition).

The install was pretty straight forward and took 5 hours for all components.

Put my truck up on the rack and removed factory jounce bumper and installed the upper bracket of the air spring with no issues.
Installed bottom bracket and bag again with no issues (Pic drivers side bag).
Had to make a slight cut out to the bottom axle strap bracket on the passenger side to account for brake line (Pic passenger side axle bracket).
Ran all airlines (had to remove spare tire for easy access) to the passengers side frame. Mounted the compressor and control unit to the passenger side frame (Pic Compressor mount)
Covered all airlines with 1/2" wire loom to protect the lines. Checked all connections and no leaks.
Downloaded Air Command App and tested the system.
I have not had any issues pulling my 16,000 lb 5th wheel over the past year.(Pic Truck camper)

Overall I am very impressed with the system I installed and the great customer service I received when ordering the product!

Works great fulltime RV life so we depend on it often

by:

Easy to install. Two memory settings are great for loaded and unloaded. Easy to use app

by:

After one year using Firestone Air Lift bags and compressor,I’m as satisfied as the day I purchased. it was an easy install and has worked very well for my purpose. I wanted a little extra support on my 2500 HD it has provided me service with no issues. I would highly recommend this product. in the future and would purchase again if needed

Lets see what I can do to help trouble shoot with you. What type of phone are you using? If you are using an Apple or Android device, then the first thing you need to do is make sure that the app is connected to the electrical control unit on your vehicle. Using the options on your center console, there will be a Bluetooth enable setting on your vehicle. You will need to link your phone using Bluetooth. Make sure that your Apple or Android device is set to discover mode on the settings while trying to pair. If you are still having trouble, I recommend: 1. Try restarting your phone and go through the connection process. 2. Try uninstalling the Firestone Air Command app completely from your device and re-install. If this does not work please feel free to contact me.

This is the 2nd truck I put on a Firestone rear air suspension kit. I like using the smartphone gauge and presets. I pull a 16.5K fiver with a 2018 GMC dually. Great ride.

  • Is The Yellow Ignition Wire On The Firestone Air Command Compressor System Meant To Be Used?
I spoke with Firestone about the yellow wire apart of the Air Command Compressor System w/ Light Duty Compressor # F2610 system, and they informed me that the yellow wire is NOT to be used on this system. It should not be hooked up or grounded to anything, and that is the reason you're experiencing issues with your system. Firestone recommends that you disconnect the wire and make sure it isn't touching anything. It's safest to zip tie the wire out of way and cap it. This harness was...

If you do not use the ignition wire of the Air Command Compressor System # F2610 and wire it so that it is active all the time it would run with the truck off if the air pressure in the bags fell below the user preset setting. Best option is to use the ignition switch to activate it so that you don't have to worry about that.

  • Where to Red and Yellow Wires Run with Firestone Compressor Kit F2610 Very confusing here regar
The correct wiring of the yellow and red wires of the Firestone compressor kit part # F2610 is to run the red wire to the battery which is where the compressor draws it's amperage from and the yellow wire to ignition circuit as the circuit to tell the compressor the vehicle is on. If you run the red wire to an ignition power source most likely it will overdraw and blow a fuse since the compressor draws a decent amount of amperage.
