Question:

Good morning, I have a 2019 F250 SD Platinum with a BW Gooseneck installed. Wondering what air bags will work with this setup and the various options. I’m a pretty decent and trained mechanic and am hoping to self-install. Thanks for your time and have some fun today!

Hey Chris, thanks for reaching out. We do have air bag kits for your 2019 Ford F250 SD Platinum with the B&W Tunroverball gooseneck in the bed. We have kits from both Firestone and Air Lift, although I recommend going with the Firestone since they are a bit more durable than the Air Lift and they are typically a bit easier to install. I recommend the following:

- Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs - Double Convoluted - Rear Axle # F35FV

This will be a no drill install so definitely something you can do yourself if you have a bit of know-how. It helps a lot if you have access to a lift. Take a look at the install video linked below.

If you tow frequently I also recommend adding an onboard compressor such as the Firestone Air Command Standard Duty Air Compressor # F2610. This is a wireless compressor that lets you monitor and fill the bags with your smartphone. You will find a video for the compressor below too. That is also something you could undoubtedly install yourself.

Have a great one!

Hey Chris, did you decide to go with the Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs for your F250? How did the installation go for you? I'd love to hear your experience as it could help others looking to do a similar setup.

@JesseM They are in the plan but not yet purchased. Ended up retiring two years earlier than planned so I’m still getting my ducks in a row.

@ChrisS Ok no worries! Just thought I'd check in. You know where to find me if you ever need anything. Oh and congrats on the retirement! Those ducks can be a pain but I'm sure you will get them straightened out :)
