Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this Brophy Figure 8 Coupling Link For the half inch size chain, has 11,900 pound working load limit. Now this coupling link right here will let you attach your safety chains to your hitch quickly and easily. This will create a more easily accessible attachment point than the connection loops that are on your hitch. This will include everything shown here on the table, the two piece coupling link, the pin, and the retaining collar. Basically, the pin goes through here to hold the links together, but it does use this retaining collar that goes in the center.
And then when the pin gets started, it's a press fit in there. So what you have to do, you hammer this through the link and the retaining collar and it'll hold these two pieces together. And then to remove it, all you have to do is take a punch, put it on the pin, tap it with a hammer, and that pin will slide out. Retaining collar will come off and you have your two separate pieces. Now these are a grade 80 steel construction.
You can see they have a nice corrosion-resistant zinc plating to them. Few specs, again, this will fit the half inch thick chain, has a safe working load limit of 11,900 pounds. Now there are some dimensions on these, this link here, and they are available on the product page. And also always remember if you have any questions regarding this product, please don't hesitate to contact us via phone, chat or email or if you have purchased this product before, please send us pictures of it being used.
