Ellen: Hey everyone, I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com. Today, we're taking a look at the NOCO AC port plug, with extension cord. Now this is going to extend out 12 feet long, and that's going to be for the actual cord itself. So you do have a little bit of extra length for the plugs on either end. But it really is about 12 feet total, in length for that cord.So it should give you plenty of room to get this AC port plug somewhere remote mounted, if you need a plug for your enclosed trailer, if you've got a car inside there you want to charge with the batteries, maybe an electric car or something like that. It'll allow you to have that port on the outside to plug into, and then have another end of that plug going along inside.

So the main benefit to this is that anywhere that you would have an extension cord going through a wall, or through a door that you don't want to have open all the time, this is going to give you that permanent mount to have that plug, and then the cord come out on the other side.So it's a really nice looking plug, but then it's also going to be waterproof, easy to use. It's pretty low profile. So you can see this plug, if we just go from this edge here, it's really flat, so it's not going to take up a lot of room. It's not a big bulky plug to get in the way of anything on the outside of our vehicle for putting it on our RV, or like I said, an enclosed trailer, maybe a boat or anything like that. It's going to be nice and sleek.Has this thick rubber cap to go over that plug to keep out any water, or dirt, or debris from getting into our prongs and causing any issues there.

The rest of our housing is all completely sealed. So again, nice and waterproof so we won't have any issues with that. It's also designed to resist any kind of impacts or UV rays, so it should last for a long time.The wire is going to be a 14 AWG copper wire, or 14 gauge wire. It's pretty simple to install this. You're just going to need to cut out a two inch hole and then pop this guy in there, use the included screws, which it does come with.

They're just three self tapping screws to mount that in place, and then route that cable where you need it to be. So there's no hand cutting, no splicing required with this, you don't have to worry about crimping anything in place. It's just going to require you to cut out that hole, which is really going to be the scariest part of the whole thing.As far as the plug dimensions, it's about 3-1/8 inch in diameter from outside edge to outside edge. And then about 2-1/8 inch deep. For just that mounting point, or what's actually going to stick into our wall wherever we mount it, it's going to be about 1-13/16, or just over 1-3/4 inches.

The amp rating for this is going to be 15 amps. Voltage rating is 125 volts. It does come with a one year limited warranty, and it is UL approved, which is basically just a third party that takes things and tests them out to make sure that they are up to snuff. But that's pretty much going to do it for our look at the NOCO AC port plug, with extension cord.
