Question:

For your 2017 Toyota Prius with Yakima FullBack 2 Bike Rack, # Y02634, the attached instructions show you how to convert the hooks to anchors. The anchors are made by essentially feeding the strap back through a slot in the hook to allow the entire hook to remain inside the hatch as an anchor. I've attached a picture to assist as well.

Thank you for the compliment. For your 2017 Toyota Prius, I suggest the Draw-Tite Class I Sport Frame Receiver Hitch, # 24966. This hitch will give you a 200 lb tongue weight limit, so you will be able to install a hitch mounted bike rack. The bike rack I recommend for you is the the Kuat Transfer 2 Bike Platform Rack, # KU74FR. This Kuat rack lets you transport two bikes with ratcheting hooks that hold your bikes by the wheels with no frame contact. A foot pedal lets you tilt the rack with bikes loaded for cargo area access and fold it up for storage. The anti-rattle hitch pin reduces movement and noise of the rack in your hitch.
