Trailer brake drum works with 9,000-lb to 10,000-lb oil bath hub assembly (008-430-03). Installs on 9,000-lb to 10,000-lb general-duty Dexter axles made after April 2013.
Features:
Specs:
The first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes. The second number denotes the diameter, in inches, of the circle on which the bolt holes sit.
On wheels with an even number of bolt holes, measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the hole directly across from it. (Example: 8 on 6-1/2 means 8 bolt holes with 6-1/2" from the center of one hole to the center of another on the opposite side.)
To determine the bolt-circle diameter on wheels with an odd number of bolt holes, measure from the center of any bolt hole to the point halfway between the two bolt holes directly across from the first. (Example: 5 on 4-1/2 means 5 bolt holes with 4-1/2" measured to a point halfway between the opposite bolt holes.)
Measuring the distance (D) from the center of one bolt hole on the wheel to the center of a bolt hole right next to it can also help to determine the bolt pattern.

Hello everybody, this is Jeff with etrailer.com Today I'm going to take a look at this Dexter 12 1/4" by three 3/8" trailer brake drum for 9,000 pound to 10,000 pound axles, manufactured after April of 2013. And this has an eight on six 1/2" bolt pattern. Now this trailer drum will provide the surface area for the brake shoes. You can see right here part of the electric brake magnet to grip your brakes when it's active, when they are activated. This is compatible with non-ABS electric and hydraulic drum brakes, and it is designed to work with the Dexter 9,000 pound to 10,000 pound oil bath hub assemblies. Those hub assembly we do sell separately on our website.
It's part number 008-430-03. Now this drum is a sturdy iron construction. It is made in the USA. Few specs again, the application is 9,000 pound and 10,000 pound axles that are manufactured after April of 2013. Now the drum assembly that fits this is a 12 1/4" by three 3/8".
And if we measure this break drum, the 12 1/4", if you see we put a ruler on it if we go straight across, inside diameter is going to be right at 12 1/4" Now the width on this, the brake assembly, the brake shoe width that goes in this is three 3/8" wide. The brake drum is actually a little wider for that brake assembly. So the actual width on this brake drum if we measure it, is going to be right at about three 3/4". The pilot hole diameter, which is this large hole here in the center, goes over the hub on your trailer. Diameter of that is right at four 3/4".
And the assembly when it's attached to this will have a bolt pattern of eight on six 1/2". The weight capacity on this is 5,000 pounds. But that should do it for the review on this Dexter 12 1/4" by three 3/8" trailer brake drum for 9,000 pound to 10,000 pound axles manufactured after April of 2013..
