Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we'll take a look at this Replacement Breakaway Lever for the Dexter Model 10 and Model 20 Brake Actuators. Basically, this Dexter Breakaway Lever will replace a broken or damaged lever that's on your Dexter Model 10 or 20 Brake Actuator. This lever will bolt to the top of your brake actuator. Want to pop up an insert to show you as we're talking here, you can see an example of it onto the actuator already. Basically this bottom portion right here.
So when this is installed, this bottom portion here is what'll attach to the push rod inside the brake actuator, and then this top portion right here, this is what it'll attach to the breakaway cable or chain. So basically, if the trailer comes deattached from the tow vehicle, it would pull that chain or cable, which would rotate the lever, which would activate the push rod to apply the brakes in your brake actuator. Now this includes one breakaway lever, but that should do it for the review on the Replacement Breakaway Lever for the Dexter Model 10 and Model 20 Brake Actuators.
