Hi, there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a quick look at this Flair-It PEX adapter fitting. This is going to allow you to connect pipes and hoses in your RV freshwater plumbing system. So whether you're needing to repair leaky connections, or if you're installing new lines, this is gonna work great for you. This is gonna work with your PEX pipes, the old gray PB pipes and polyvinyl tubing.
This will have a 1/2-inch FSWV collar that's gonna fit tanks or pipes with that 1/2-inch MSWV connection. That swivel connection there is gonna help reduce stress on the hose or pipes. And then on the other end, we're gonna have the 1/2-inch barbed connection that's gonna fit your hoses and tubes with a 1/2-inch inner diameter. The barbed connection with the compression fitting here, that compression end is going to allow you to install this without having to use any tools to secure it. So basically the way this is gonna work, you'll slide that compression end on your pipe and then you'll get that barbed fitting inserted into your hose or tube.
And then that might take a little bit of wiggling, quite a bit of pressure to get that fully inserted, but then once it is, you can just slide that compression end over it and then thread it on. And that is gonna create a nice solid connection. I actually did this myself a couple nights ago just to see how that would work with a similar product, and I was really impressed at how easy that is to get on, but then what a solid connection it is. I actually was able to get it on by hand, but then I had to use a couple of vise-grips to get it off. So it is gonna be a very, very solid connection for you.
So great option there, especially, you know, when you're working with water, you don't want to have leaks and that sort of thing, so having that nice solid compression, it actually is going to bend your hose or tube out. It's going to kind of expand it, and then the compression fitting's gonna tighten it back down, so it's gonna be a very solid connection. This is constructed of a polyoxymethylene construction so it is going to be very durable and resistant to stress cracking. So it will hold up really well for you. I do want to point out that this is just one of many different connectors that we have available here at etrailer.com.
So if you're going through your project, looking at all the different connections you're gonna make, I would highly recommend picking up some of those others to make sure that you've got everything that you need for your project. And that completes our look for today. Again, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Thanks for watching.

Had to wait for the ordered part to be in stock. However, that is not the fault of the supplier. Part was then shipped promptly. Installed same. Satisfied with the result.
Well made and easy to use. Unfortunately not the part I needed for my camper, but fixed my neighbors so all good.
