Today we're going to be taking a look at the Brophy Banjo Eye for a 3/8 inch diameter safety chain. This banjo eye welds securely to your trailer or truck bed, secures a chain. It's designed for dump tail gates and other load securing applications. Very easy to use. Once it's welded into place and fully installed, you just simply feed the chain through the hole to the link you need. Then drop the link into the key hole slot and it's going to securely hold it in place.
Nice durable steel construction. It's unfinished so you can easily weld it and paint it to match your trailer. A few measurements to go over with you real quick. Measuring in this direction edge to edge. We can see that that's going to give us a measurement of about 3 1/2 inches, it's about 3 9/16. Going this direction edge to edge, it's going to measure right on 3 1/2 inches.
The thickness is about 5/16 of an inch thick. The hole right here, that's going to give us a diameter measurement of an inch and a half. The gap, or that slot, that's going to give us a measurement of about 1/2 inch wide. Then the length of that is about 1 1/8 of an inch long. The product's made right here in the USA. I ordered a set of the above banjo eyes. Very happy with prompt delivery. Needed them In the shop...fabricating a rear hitch receiver and channel steel safety bumper on my Intl. DuraStar 9 truck.
Heavy duty and worth the money. Easy to weld onto my trailer. Will be ordering more.
The 3/8 weld in safety chain brackets are just what I needed to finish up my log lift crane for the back of my tractor. I also bought the 3/8 chain to choke the logs with. All of it is exactly what I was looking for! I will order again . Great service !

I liked the part but wish it would have had a little more metal to the rear so wasn't quite as close to body of truck
