Replacement 7-Way Trailer Connector for 2015 Toyota Tacoma
Question:
I have a 2015 Tacoma with the two package, but the 7 way RV plug has rusted and some pins are missing. It looks like the plug is connected to the trucks wiring about 1foot behind the plug. I am looking for a new connector that has both a 4 way and 7 way plug and that I can plug into the existing wiring. Any recommendations or suggestions? Thank you.

If your Tacoma has the round US CAR connector that mates with the connector shown in the provided photo, you can use the # HM40975 which would provide a 4 pole and a 7-way trailer connector. Your existing harness should plug directly into the back of the # HM40975, but you might need to unpin the harness from the frame in order to get some slack in the harness so it will reach.
I'd also recommend using some dielectric grease like # 11755 at the connection between the # HM40975 and the vehicle's tow package connector as well as on the pins for the 7-way. Dielectric grease will keep moisture away from the contacts and help prevent corrosion.
