When a worn or corroded 7-way plug stops making solid contact, this CR Brophy Replacement 7-Pole Trailer Connector Socket (part # R7CB) brings the connection back to standard. It’s a vehicle-end plug only, built to match common 7-round trailer wiring layouts, so lights and brakes stay in sync once you swap it in.
Mounting this socket is straightforward. The receptacle is roughly 2" in diameter and fits through a simple round cutout in the bumper or bed panel. The mounting holes are spaced 3" on center, so lining it up with an existing bracket or drilling new holes is simple and predictable.
No more loose connections that shake free on the road. A tab molded into the lid’s underside locks onto the trailer plug when it’s closed, keeping the 7-way securely seated in the socket even over bumps or vibration.
Each circuit uses the correct wire gauge for its load—White (8 gauge ground return), Black (12 gauge clearance/marker/ID), Yellow (12 gauge left turn/hazard), Red (10 gauge stop/ABS), Green (12 gauge right turn/hazard), Brown (12 gauge tail/license/marker), and Blue (10 gauge auxiliary/ABS). The clear color coding helps ensure every connection gets matched correctly on the first try.

Speaker 1: Today, we're taking a look at the Brophy Replacement 7-pole Trailer Connector Socket for the Vehicle End. This is used, typically, for commercial trucks and trailers. It does come with brass contact points for better conductivity. And, as you can see, it's a seven round pin connector. The housing is a durable ABS plastic construction that's black in color. And it does feature the nice frame loaded lid, which keeps the contacts protected when nothings connected.
The connections on the back are easy to make with the included screws and color coded indicators. So, you don't actually see the color. But on each terminal or connection point, it says what color wire gets connected there. So, right here, it says 4 red, 5 green, 6 brown, 7 white . or 1 white, 2 black, 3 yellow, and then you got the 7 blue right here in the center. Loosen up the screws.
Place the wire in. Tighten the screw down. And really, that's all there is to it. It's a really nice design. Very easy to use.
Very easy to get everything connected, as it should be. And you have pre drill mount holes right here. These are elongated. These mount holes are separated on center by three inches. Mounting hardware not included.
That's gonna do it for today's look at the Brophy Replacement 7-pol Trailer Connector Socket for the Vehicle End.
